The Inner Rhythm of Being Retreat | 26 June – 1 July
I believe there is a natural intelligence within us that reveals itself when we slow down enough to listen.
This retreat is an invitation to step out of the busyness of everyday life and reconnect with the deeper rhythm of being through meditation, silence, mindful movement, and inquiry.
If your heart is longing for space, stillness, and a chance to come home to yourself, I’d love to welcome you.

All spiritual practices are pathways back to our true nature - they are rafts that lead us back to who we already are.
When held lightly, they can be profoundly helpful.
But when taken blindly as ultimate truths, or as rigid rules that we must ‘follow’ in order to awaken, they can become the very thing that takes us further away from ourselves.
It is important to remember that the most trustworthy source of guidance and truth is the immediacy of our present moment experience.
Only through direct contact with reality can we deeply know ourselves and unfold with reality, as reality. 💛

In this dualistic reality, it is easy to become caught in rigid views and opinions about what is happening in our lives and in the world.
Attachment to our views often creates further division and conflict, feeding the sense of separation that lies at the root of so much human suffering.
Perhaps real change begins when we learn to create a larger container, one that can hold different perspectives without immediately collapsing into certainty.
From there, something new has the possibility to emerge. 🪷💛

When it comes to deep healing and embodied transformation, I see two essential foundations.
Before anything else, these need to be in place.
1. Safety
Without safety, the nervous system cannot process or integrate experience.
Many of our wounds were formed in moments where safety was missing.
Safety can be cultivated through co-regulation: being with someone grounded and attuned, where the nervous system naturally settles.
And through self-regulation: spending time in nature, moving the body, and practicing grounding and breath awareness.
2. Mindfulness
Mindfulness creates space between our pain and our reactivity.
It allows us to gently unblend from our wounded parts, so we can meet them with curiosity instead of reaction.
It’s also what allows new information to be integrated in the present moment, rather than repeating old patterns.
Without mindfulness we may feel, but not necessarily transform.
Safety and mindfulness are not the whole path, but they are the ground.
And without this ground, healing and transformation struggle to take root. 💛
Somatic intuition is a skill that we can all develop.
A lot of times, when we feel confused, lost, or reactive in life, it’s because we have lost this connection to our inner knowing.
One way of developing this capacity to know ourselves and the situations in our lives from a place of truth and integrity is through somatic inquiry.
Somatic inquiry is about getting curious about the felt sense of a situation, rather than getting lost in our usual narratives about it.
This way of knowing has no preferences, stories, or reactions - it is deeply true and carries a profound sense of integrity. 💛

Inner knowledge is different from inner transformation.
Understanding a pattern within yourself doesn’t mean it will change. You can see it, name it, even speak about it clearly… and still find yourself repeating it.
Because patterns live in implicit memory, and will remain unconscious until it is brought into consciousness.
The process of bringing a pattern into consciousness happens through the felt sense in the body.
Only through directly experiencing what is being held - what lives in implicit memory - can something begin to shift.
Real change and transformation will naturally follow. 💛

The body’s natural state is wholeness.
When something is off balance, it always lets us know.
If we can learn to stay with the discomfort long enough, it will reveal its next step forward — without the need to control, change, or manipulate experience.
This is at the core of the healing process: learning to trust the organicity of the body and surrender to its own way of finding its way back home. 💛

My next Tension and Trauma Release TRE® Workshop coming up tomorrow Saturday 20th Sept 2025 in Mona Vale, NSW.
TRE® is a wonderful method that supports the release of deeply held patterns of tension, stress and even trauma. Also, it supports deepening the connection with your body and mind, leading to a greater sense of presence, grounding and ease.
👉🏻 What is TRE?
TRE consist of six gentle exercises that are designed to stress the psoas muscle that reply purely on the body’s natural ability to trigger tremors. This releases muscular tension, calming down the nervous system. When this natural mechanism is activated in a safe environment, the body is encouraged to return back to a state of balance. This therapeutic tremoring helps the body release deep muscular patterns of stress, tension, and even trauma.
The TRE Workshops are a great opportunity for you to learn and experience the TRE® method within safe environment.
