To all Current and Past competitors

We wish to advise that Event People have made the very HARD decision to no longer produce the Murray Bridge Triathlon Festival.

We have now cancelled the 2022 event and have advised active.com to refund any entries that are in the system at the moment. Please be patient with refund as this could take 1-2 weeks to organise.

With the emergence of the new 70.3 in Tasmania and Change of date of 70.3 Melbourne back to its November date it has become apparent based on current entries that it was going to be hard to run a successful event again in Murray Bridge in 2022 and beyond. We wanted to make sure we advised competitors sooner rather than later so they can make changes to there race and training schedules.

I started Event People 7 years on the back of mainly a Triathlon/Running Festival event company but in recent times we have moved our focus to produce more of a large scale events eg concert/festival type events and the Murray Bridge Triathlon was the last triathlon on our books from having 6-7 nationally each year around 3-4 years back so as we mentioned above it was a hard decision, as i have been in triathlon industry for nearly 20 years, but onwards and upwards we go.

We thank the City of Murray Bridge for their financial support to this event over the years. If there are any keen race directors out there that are looking for an opportunity please email us [email protected] as we can put you in contact with the City of Murray Bridge as im sure they would be still keen to to support a triathlon event in the future.

FAQ

1. Online Registration Close at 5pm Friday 5/11
2. Late Entry (extra price) available Saturday 11am-2pm or 45mins before race start on Sunday
3. Timing Chip, Swim Cap and Stickers can be picked up Saturday 11am-2pm or 45mins before race on Sunday
4. No bikes racked Saturday all Sunday
5. Enticer Swim distance has been slightly moved from 150m to 200m to fall in line with Super Sprint Distance
6. Kids bike leg distance now 3km which falls in line with Enticer/Supersprint
7. Podium Medals. As most people would be aware currently in Australia we are finding that due to covid that freight services delivery times are being delayed. Our medals have been sitting in Sydney depot now for a week and it looks like we wont receive them before event this weekend. Therefore there will be no presentation after the event and all podium winners medals will be sent out next week.
