The QA State Relay Championships are coming up fast. If anyone wants to be in a team and has not already contacted us, please do so ASAP, as we need to get teams in soon.

When: 14-15 November

Events: 4x100m, 4x200m, 4x400m, 4x800m, 4x1500m, 3x long jump, 3x shotput, 3x discus

Age groups: U14, U16, U18, U20, Open, Masters(M)30-39, M40-49, M50-59, M60-69, M70-79, M80+

Cost: $10/athlete/event i.e. $40/track team, $30/field team

Pass the baton. Chase the title.

Queensland Relay Championships and the Queensland 5000m & Race Walk Championships. Just over 3 weeks to go!

***Strathletics - meet 2 - postponed***

Unfortunately, we've had to postpone tomorrow's Strathletics meet as the consistent rain has lead to council closing the grounds. We'll try again next Sunday (01/11).

The program will be as follows.
7:00am - 800m
8:00am - 60m
8:15am - triple/long jump
8:45am - shot put
9:15am - 200m
9:30am - high jump

Athletes can enter by emailing us at [email protected]. Cost is $6/athlete for the meet. For insurance purposes, you must be a member of a Queensland Athletics club to compete. You can use the link below to sign up through our club.

Entries for the UQ 1500m Classic close at 9am this coming Monday (26/10).

The 1500m Classic is a competitive middle-distance race hosted at The University of Queensland since 2004. The event is recognised as a World Athletics Ranking Competition (F).

Entries close at 9am Monday 26th October, 12 noon.

***Strathletics - meet 1 - results***

While our athletes were fast at our first Strathletics meet last Sunday, we were unfortunately very slow at getting the results together. Apologies!! But here they are (plus a couple of videos to make up for our tardiness).

Our next Strathletics meet will be held on Sunday 25th October. The program will be as follows.

7:00am - 800m
8:00am - 60m
8:15am - triple/long jump
8:45am - shot put
9:15am - 200m
9:30am - high jump

Athletes can enter by emailing us at [email protected]. Cost is $6/athlete for the meet. For insurance purposes, you must be a member of a Queensland Athletics club to compete. Huge congratulations to Holly Wakelin who competed last week in the Australian Transplant Games in Launceston. Holly absolutely blitzed the competition on the track, taking out the gold in the 100m, 200m, 400m and the 4x100m relay. To top this off, she also earned a third place in the 5km road race.

The only selection trial for the Australian All Schools Championships in Perth.

Venue – QSAC Main Stadium and SAF

Dates: 1st – 4th October 2026 (Last weekend of QLD School Holidays)

Standard entries will close Tuesday 22 September 2026 at 9:00am.
The late entry period will begin from Tuesday 22 September 2026 at 9:01am and will close Wednesday 23 September 2026 at 9:00am.

*** Strathletics - meet 1***

Calling all Strathpine athletes! It's time to dust off the spikes and break out the Voltaren, because Strathletics is here!

While our local meet has traditionally been attended mainly by our Masters athletes (cause let's face it, we're up anyway), club members of all ages are welcome to attend. Meet 1 will be held on Sunday 27th September and the program will be as follows.

7:00am - 1500m
8:00am - 100m
8:15am - long jump
8:45am - 400m
9:00am - javelin
9:30am - discus

Entry fee is $6 and athletes can enter by emailing us at [email protected]. For insurance purposes, competing athletes must be members of QA. You can sign up to our club at the following link.
