cePower commenced operation 1999 under principals Graham Thomas and Julie Patchett. Julie previously ran Fame Dance Centre in Fremantle with her then husband, and Graham was formally the manager of Talk of the Town Ballroom in Malaga. Dancepower has been a great success since its inception, training many social dancers of all levels, from beginners to advanced, as well as dancesport competitors of all levels, many becoming Australian champions of all different ages, and some even going on to achieve international success. Founders Julie Patchett and Graham Thomas:
Julie Patchett was a former Australian and International Professional Standard Champion. Some of her achievements include Australian Champion, a runner-up in the British Professional Rising Stars Championship, fourth in the World Professional Cup, runner-up in the All England Championship, third in the European Grand Prix, seventh in the UK Championship, and seventh in the World Championship. Julie is fully qualified to Licentiate Level in Standard, Latin, and New Vogue styles of dancing and is an international coach and adjudicator. Some of the events she has adjudicated include multiple Australian Championships, South Pacific Championships, Australasian Championships, Southeast Asian Championships, Italian Open Championship, Finnish Championships, Belgian Championships, Dutch Championships, etc. Graham Thomas is an undefeated six-times Australian Professional New Vogue Champion. He is fully qualified to Licentiate Level in Standard, Latin, and New Vogue styles and is also an international coach and adjudicator. The events he has adjudicated include many Australian Championships, South Pacific Championships, Australasian Championships, Southeast Asian Championships, etc.
