Nagambie is excited to announce Jason O’Brien as our Women’s Coach for the upcoming season.

Before looking ahead, we want to acknowledge the outstanding contribution of Blair Taylor-Lloyd over the past three seasons.

Blair has been instrumental in building our women’s side from the ground up and establishing the respect it now holds across the competition. To make finals in our first season and then reach back-to-back Grand Finals is an enormous achievement, particularly while coaching and playing throughout that time.

We sincerely thank Blair for everything he has put into the program and the foundations she has helped establish.

Taking over the role is someone already very familiar to the Lakers in Jason “Jobby” O’Brien.

Jobby brings a wealth of experience from many years in the game as both a player and coach. He has been a longtime member of our junior coaching ranks and a valuable assistant in the development of our women’s side.

We look forward to seeing Jobby take the reins and continue building on the strong foundations already in place.

Congratulations to Kayla Shepherd on being selected in the Northern Rivers VCCL Region 5 Team of the Year for the 2025/26 season.

This is a well-deserved recognition after another outstanding season, and we’re incredibly proud to see Kayla’s hard work and dedication rewarded.

Congratulations also to Mel Saunders from Shepparton / Youth Club United Cricket Club on her well-deserved selection. A fantastic achievement by both players.

Congratulations to Flynn Bush on his selection in the Northern Rivers Under 16 Country Academy squad.

A fantastic achievement and a very well-deserved opportunity. Flynn’s time in our joint Under 16 side with Old Students, alongside their players and coaches, has been a great part of his development.

We’re absolutely thrilled to see another Nagambie junior taking the next step in his cricket and earning this opportunity.
