RCA can't wait to bring you this session with Liam Scott! 🏏. This is a rare chance to learn directly from a current elite player and find out what it takes to level up your game.

Fresh from a breakout season with the Adelaide Strikers and Australian Cricket Association Liam made his Australian ODI debut. Now he's coming to the Adelaide Hills on Sunday 18 October to run a 90-minute technical masterclass and live Q&A.

There are just 12 spots available for the masterclass, ages 16+.

The live Q&A is also open to the public for $20 β€” a great chance for cricket fans of any age to hear Liam's story, from his breakout season to his ODI debut, and the mental skills you need to reach the top.

Many junior cricketers don't lift their bat before they play a shot. Most don't know it's costing them timing, power and options.

It's not about how high the lift is. It's about when it starts.

Get that right and everything else flows.

"Bowl a good length."

It's one of the most common instructions in cricket. But often one of the least explained to juniors.

Here's the secret.

A good length isn't a spot on the pitch. It's the length that makes the batter hesitate.

Forward or back? Attack or defend?

Once young bowlers understand that, they know where to aim. They start asking better questions of batters. They start bowling more consistently.

πŸ’¬ What's a bowling concept your child finds hardest to understand?

Drop it belowβ€”we might cover it next. 🏏

Winter has a funny way of making cricket feel a long way off.

Then suddenly the pre-season arrives.

The kids who don't start from scratch aren't always the ones who trained the hardest over winter.

They're usually the ones who simply kept their ticking over.

A little batting.

A little bowling.

A little fielding.

Small habits now make returning to cricket so much easier.

"Play yourself in."

It sounds like cautious cricket. It's actually smart cricket.

πŸ‘€ Your eyes and brain need time to adjust to pace, bounce and movement.

That's not weakness. That's biology.

The world's best batters don't always attack their first ball...They gather information first.

πŸ’¬ What's the biggest mental challenge your child faces when batting?
