I have just been advised by Margaret from Kilcoy that they have had a team withdraw from their President's at Home/ Birthday on Monday 19th October (this coming Monday).
We were 1st reserve team, so if the people who put their names down are still interested, please let me know ASAP so that I can let them know.

It seems some members think my last post was a dig. This was certainly not my intention and if I’ve upset or offended them i sincerely apologise. My only reason is to acknowledge the volunteers who do the jobs around the club. Thanking them at the end of pennants or an event is routine and expected but don’t you think a spontaneous and sincere .thanks at any time would make a person smile. I know some members would like to volunteer but family and work commitments don’t allow this and these will always come first.

Can you imagine what our club would be like if we didn’t have people who cleaned the toilets, vacuumed the floor, cleaned the windows, stocked the bar, controlled our finances, maintained the greens and surrounding grounds, plan and prepare meals, sell you your drinks, work at the Bunnings BBQ, help out on barefoot bowls events and just helping out as needed. There’s not a lot of these people and they all deserve your thanks and support. How often do you thank these VOLUNTEERS? We should be thanking them each time we see them not only when they’re doing something for the club.

Due to low number of entries, the competition is Round Robin - 4 Rounds.

Congratulations to our 2026 Ladies Triples Champions.

Lorna Elsmore. Yvonne Meggitt and Yvonne Campbell who defeated
Robyn Sutherland, Margaret Wotherspoon and Shirley Hennessey.

Big thanks to Shirley who kindly stepped in to sub in Julie Womersley's team as she unable to participate due to ill health. Hope you're on the mend Julie.

2026 Ladies Triples Finals are being played tonight, commencing at 6:00pm.

Social Bowls will also be on at same time.

Just a friendly reminder that the club's 2027 Mixed Pairs Championships is coming up and will run as follows: This is next year's mixed event due to the proposed green closure (March - June).
Round 1: Monday 23rd. Nov
Round 2: Friday 27th. Nov
Quarter Finals: Monday 30th. Nov
Semi Finals: Monday 7th. Dec
Finals: Friday 11th. Dec

Registration will open on Tuesday 20th. Oct and close on Monday 9th. Nov. Please note, scheduled dates may vary according to the final number of entries.

You can register your entry by logging into Bowlslink (on a PC or mobile device) and entering your team, or scan the QR Code below to access Bowlslink entry page.

The QR Code will not work until I activate the event on the 20th. Oct. If you have issues, please let me know and I will assist in registering your team.
