It's time to meet some of our new committee members - I’m Mandy, and my fur baby is Mabel, a Hungarian Vizsla. I first heard about canicross when I watched the Top Dog Film Festival in 2025. Evan Birch and his Vizsla, Nova, took part in the Orcas 100, and I was in awe of the incredible bond between them as they tackled the trails together. Shortly afterwards, I saw a segment on Better Homes & Gardens showcasing canicross and a local club — which just happened to be this club! So that was it for me. I was between dogs at the time, but I knew that as soon as I had another dog, canicross was something we would try. Fast forward to today and we are hooked! There’s something pretty special about getting out into nature with your bestie, sharing adventures and meeting other people who are just as passionate about exploring with their dogs. I’m excited to be part of the club and look forward to getting out on the trails, sharing plenty of adventures and helping out as the new Secretary.
