Bone stress injuries don’t happen overnight 🦴

Most develop when load exceeds the bone’s ability to recover and adapt.

Early recognition, smart load management, and addressing contributing factors can make a huge difference in recovery and recurrence risk.

Shin, foot, or hip pain that isn’t settling? Don’t ignore it early.

The goal of a primer session isn’t to get tired, it's to get ready!

Primer sessions are low volume, high intensity sessions, typically done 6-24 hours prior to competition to prime the nervous system to perform.

Primer sessions should consist of Fast and powerful movements that have high nervous system activation but also have low volume to reduce any possible soreness of excessive fatigue from the session.

Try this sample primer session before you next Game:

1A. Banded Anderson Squats

1B. BW CMJ

2A. Banded Rack Pull

2B. Broad Jump

3A. BB Bench Press IsoPush

3B. Repeat Incline Plyo Push Up

Round 1 you: 'This is going to be my best season yet. No injuries. Full training every week.'

Round 6 you: *three different bits of strapping, one suspicious hip, and somehow still out there*

Look. We see you. And we're not judging.

But if something has been quietly getting worse for the last few weeks — now is the time to come in, not after it completely goes.

We're a few rounds into the season. Check in with yourself.

5 signs your in-season S&C program isn't working:

1. You're more fatigued at round 5 than you were at round 1
2. The same injury keeps flaring every few weeks
3. Your speed and power have dropped since the season started
4. You're sore for 3+ days after every game
5. You've been 'just managing' something instead of actually fixing it

These aren't signs you need to train harder. They're signs your program needs to adapt to the season.

Swipe through and save this. DM us if any of it lands.

Starting your session with the right carbs means your body isn't playing catch up.

Pre-training fuel tops up your glycogen stores, sharpens focus, and helps you hit intensity from the first rep. The goal isn't complicated; it's just about getting fast-digesting carbs in before you start.

Swipe through for five easy options that work: toast with jam, rice cakes with banana and honey, an oats and honey cup, LCM bars, or a handful of dates.

Simple food. Real fuel. No excuses to train on empty.

Our coaches never judge

We just notice everything

Effort, intent, body language, standards

You think it goes unnoticed. It does not

We see who leans in and who looks for a way out
We see who does the extras and who does the minimum

That is what decides your progress

Not what you say. What you show

Raise your standard

We are watching

If you are going to quit something this year, quit being a little Bitch!

Quit making excuses
Quit negotiating when it gets hard
Quit acting like you are the only one who feels tired, busy, or flat

You are not special
Everyone deals with it
The difference is most people fold and a few don’t

Right now you are deciding which one you are

Because every time you take the easy option, you are reinforcing a weak standard
And that becomes your identity

You do not need a better plan
You need to stop letting yourself off the hook

Do the work
Even when you do not feel like it
Especially when you do not feel like it

Or stay exactly where you are

Your call

30/03/2026

POV you say you have done your wellness

We ask again, just to be sure

I mean, come on
I know you
You know you
And I know you know that I know you

Because we use Lumin to track your recovery, your stress, your readiness, and your load

So when it is not filled in, we are not managing your program properly
We are guessing

And guessing is how athletes stay stuck or get injured

The athletes who improve are the ones who do the simple things consistently

It takes 30 seconds
But it impacts every session, every adjustment, every result

Do the work that no one sees
That is what separates you

Pre season is not just about getting fitter

It is not just more running, more conditioning, more volume

One of the most overlooked qualities is change of direction and agility

And this is the best time to build it

Without the pressure of games, without the fatigue of in season, you have the opportunity to actually improve how you move

Decelerate with control, change direction efficiently, and re accelerate with intent

This is what creates separation
This is what keeps you in control
This is what allows you to actually use your speed

Because in sport, moving better beats just moving more

If you cannot control your body, your fitness will not save you

Build the skill, not just the engine

Most athletes think strength is just a number on a bar

It is not

Strength is how you produce force, how fast you produce it, and how well your body handles it under pressure

That is what actually transfers to performance

At Axis, we test this in pre season, not guess it

We use force decks, Nord board, and force frame to break down exactly how an athlete produces force, where they are strong, where they are slow, and where they are exposed

Because two athletes can lift the same weight, but perform completely differently on the field

Testing gives us clarity, and clarity gives us direction

So instead of running a generic program, we build a plan that targets what actually matters

Reduce injury risk, improve performance, and prepare for the demands of the season

Train with intent, not assumptions
