We just hit 50 members at RIG Movement. No online ads, no franchise, no flashy fitout. Just real coaching and real people.
18 months ago, we were burnt out, stuck in a version of this industry I’d stopped believing in. So we blew it all up. Sold our old gym in Darlinghurst, moved closer to home and our community, rebranded, and started again. We even changed the name, from Lord of the Rig to RIG Movement.
Here’s what makes us different. We’re small and family-run. We don’t pay a franchise fee and we don’t have anyone telling us how to program, because we already know how to do that, and how to actually educate people. Most gyms want to keep you in a box. Keep you guessing, keep you a bit dependent, so you never leave. The problem is that’s exactly how people burn out and get injured. We’d rather teach you how to train properly, so when you walk out of here you actually know what you’re doing. That’s the whole point of RIG.
Because training isn’t some way to look cool. It’s a way of life. Refine, improve, grow. We mean every word of it.
We’re so proud of the 50 people we’ve got. They’re exactly who we wanted in this room, and I can’t wait to keep building it. 🖤
