SPONSOR SHOUTOUT

A massive thank you to Craig Farrell for his continued support of the New Norfolk Cricket Club! Craig has been a proud sponsor of the Redcaps for a number of years, and he’s always willing to get behind the club — including generously donating prizes for our events, as we saw at our recent Quiz Night!

It’s support like this that means so much to a community sporting club. We’re incredibly grateful to have Craig in our corner and appreciate everything he does for the Redcaps. He’s a ripping person and always has a smile on his face, which makes him very approachable.

Thanks again Craig — we really appreciate your ongoing support!

I’ve still got around 30 x $10 margin tickets left, with $500 going to the correct margin!

If you’d like one or two, flick Hillsy a message and he will get you sorted.

JUNIOR CRICKET INFORMATION

Thanks to everyone that came along to our “Come and Try Day” yesterday. Despite the windy weather, it was a good session and it was great to see some new faces!

Some information for the season:

Training will start on Tuesday Nights from the 29th of September at 4.30 at Tynwald.

Stage One will play on Monday nights from 4.45, with the season at this stage progressing on the 9th of November.

U16’s will play on Friday nights in a T20 format from 4.45, with the season at this stage progressing on the 6th of November.

We are also running a Blast program, for children not yet confident with facing “real cricket balls” and perfect for children aged 5-10. This will be a 6 week program, starting on Tuesday the 20th of October at 3.30-4.30pm at St Brigid’s Primary School.

Please register to the relevant team ASAP, as this will allow us to finalise numbers. Please look at the Ticket To Play website, as you may be eligible for $100, which will cover your registration.

There are some uniforms at the club, but not every size is available. If any previous players have uniforms they are happy to donate to the club, please do so.
Playing equipment is provided at the club if needed, but it would be wise to buy your own cricket box if you can afford it. You are welcome to buy your own cricket gear, as some of our equipment has seen better days.

If you have any questions regarding the season, please message Josh Walsh.

JUNIOR COACHES

Congratulations to Judah Topping and Jude Bannister, who were announced as coaches this season. It’s great to see two ripping people that came up through our junior program have the opportunity to teach the future generation. Both boys have a lot of skill individually, playing Men’s cricket. They will have help during the season and our club is in safe hands!

If you are still interested in playing Junior Cricket, please message our page or let Josh Walsh know. We will provide more information tomorrow regarding the season ahead.

Proud to partner with our local community 🧡

Muscular Dystrophy Tasmania is delighted to partner with New Norfolk Cricket Club through our Recycle Rewards campaign ♻️

This partnership is a wonderful example of a local community club supporting a Tasmanian charity and helping create a positive impact close to home.

With eligible cans and bottles placed in the nominated bins at NNCC, the club community can help raise funds to support Tasmanians living with muscular dystrophy and other neuromuscular conditions.

We’re grateful to Josh, Jamie and the members, players & supporters at NNCC for getting behind MDT and helping us turn something as simple as recycling into valuable support for our community 🧡
