Buckingham Bowls Club Winter Pennant – What a Finish!

Yesterday marked the completion of another fantastic Winter Pennant season at Buckingham Bowls Club, bringing together plenty of great bowls, friendly competition and wonderful club spirit throughout the winter months.

The competition wrapped up in style with a hearty BBQ, giving everyone a chance to relax, enjoy some good food and reflect on another successful season.

👏 Congratulations to our 1st, 2nd and 3rd placegetters! Your consistency, skill and competitive spirit throughout the competition were certainly rewarded.

First Place: (Phil & his fiddler's three) Phil Klye, Dave Dyer, Mike Casey and John Jeffery's

Second Place: (The Roo's) Rob McGuire, Rob Lockley Paul Eaton and Lindsay McTye

Third Place: (The Desperados) Gaye Stops, Sue Emmett, Dennis Emmett, Chris Isles and Jeanette Lane

A very special thank you to Lindsay McTye and Paul Eaton for all their hard work in organising and running the competition. These events don't just happen—they take plenty of planning, preparation and dedication behind the scenes.

And, of course, a huge thank you to all the wonderful volunteers and members who contributed their time and effort throughout the year. Hi Everyone,

As you know, our regular Tuesday and Thursday Winter Social Bowls have now come to an end.

However, for those who would still like to get out on the greens and enjoy a social game, a few of our members are organising a game this coming Thursday. 🎳

The format will be “Scroogers” — apparently, it’s a fun, entertaining and slightly different format that should provide plenty of laughs and good bowling! 😄

🕥 Start time: 10:30 for 11:00
📍 Buckingham Bowls Club

There’s no need to register — just turn up at the club before 10:30am, ready for a great morning of bowls and good company.

Everyone is welcome, so come along and have a roll! 🥳🎳

We hope to see plenty of you there!
