A big opening week of finals awaits at the Aurora Energy Tasmanian Hockey Centre this Saturday.

First up, North West Hobart Graduates Hockey Club take on Derwent Hockey Club with the winner advancing to next weekend’s Preliminary Final and the loser’s season coming to an end.

NWG enter the finals in strong form and comfortably won the most recent meeting. However, Derwent will carry plenty of confidence after a seven-goal performance in Round 20 and having held the Bulldogs to two draws this season.

🏑 Round 20 Results

In the Men’s competition, North West Hobart Graduates Hockey Club defeated Canterbury Hockey 3–0 but were unable to displace DiamondBacks Hockey Club from the top two after the Snakes secured the crucial point they needed to lock away the double chance. Derwent Hockey Club stormed into the finals with an impressive seven-goal performance against OHA.

In the Women’s competition, DiamondBacks Hockey Club secured the double chance with an emphatic victory over Tasmanian University Hockey Club, while North West Hobart Graduates Hockey Club and O-H-A Hockey Club also recorded wins to head into the finals with momentum.
