The BEST WORKOUT APP ever is coming along swimmingly.

A KEY aspect of the app is to BUILD IN sustainability and enthusiasm to keep up with your training. Gamification is an excellent strategy to enable engagement and our app will have it in droves!

The Five Tier ranking system for Weight Training is established. As you "get better" at lifting you get rewarded both with digital stash and REAL WORLD stash.

Hi I'm Kersten,

I’m currently enrolled in a Diploma of Remedial Massage with Evolve Massage School and looking for volunteers for a free, relaxing 1 hr massage to help me complete my practical massage training.

What you can expect:

- A one-hour full-body relaxation massage with additional sports, deep tissue and other remedial techniques offered as my training advances toward September.

- A calm, respectful, personalised approach and experience.

High quality equipment, towels, oil, music, climate controlled, bathroom facilities in a private studio space environment.

- My laptop running in the background with a live connection to an assessor who observes intermittently (won’t interact with us or disturb your peace!)

Location:
Sessions take place at Little Jim Gym, 114 New Town Rd, New Town.

Requirements:
Attendees must bring their driver's license for ID and will complete a brief consent form upon arrival.

Little Jim Gym is a gym. It's well named. It's small, named in recognition of an inspirational individual (my father) and it's a gym.

We don't provide additional services or products related or unrelated.

We do "A Gym".

We specialise NOT generalise.

We do A Gym, really damn well. From top to bottom, side to side, it's all about YOUR workout experience.

We are not selling merchandise, we're not value adding, we're not stretching ourselves thin. We're NOT trying to be "all things to all people".

HOWEVER, we do "a gym" VERY differently.

Whatever you're previous or current gym experience, well then it holds very little in common with Little Jim.

So we JUST do a gym but what a gym!

** We do not sell merchandise, nutritional products, coffee (it's free). We do not partner with nail, hair, massage, counselling (free again :P), physio, travel packages, real estate services or performance enhancing "supplements" (ask Ol' mate at your chain gym)

DARK JIM JUNE

Spectacular things happen in the dark but they are rarely witnessed.

Our Jimmies are an example. They train and chase down their goals without fuss or notice.

They don't rely on external validation, their success is personal, they do the work and transformation happens never by accident but by gradual, relentless progression.

It's slow and sometimes tedious but the rewards that accumulate over months and years are enormously satisfying.

Little Jim is a small space but it's a space created to enable long term, sustainable change.

Winter means transformation at Little Jim.

Time to dimensions the lights and see red!

GOOGLE GOBBLES FITBIT - APP & WEARABLES

The Fitbit App is now being mothballed and replaced by the Google Health App.

You may have already updated, if you haven't, you will need to very soon. It's not an overly painful update but it is a nuisance plus it is very different, at least superficially.

I personally took up the free 3 month Premium membership to get the best out of it, but that certainly isn't necessary.

I'm not sure how seamless the integration is for our Gym/Coaching App (Trainerize) but so far so good.

I would suggest anyone still hanging on the the nostalgia and familiarity of the Fitbit app, update to Google Health asap. Just be proactive NOT reactive - The Fitbit App wil be deleted by Google, along with ALL your data if you don't update, in September!!

GOOGLE FITBIT AIR WEARABLE RELEASED TODAY!

This is a major disruptor wearable in the market. Fitbit was already #1 fitness wearable, but with the new Google Fitbit Air, it will make performance trackers such as Whoop and Polar VERY nervous.

Hundreds of dollars cheaper, subscription NOT necessary and a tiny, screen free form factor PLUS it will get HUUUUGE third party support....it is a giant killer!

I really don't want to discriminate, but I've decided to only coach humans at the moment!
