⚽ The Excavation Specialists Reserves- ***postponed***

Wow!!! What a second half performance. A super-tight first half kept the crowd entertained and on the edge of their seats despite James Cresnar's opener putting the Magicians ahead. It was cancelled out only a minute later off a cross and we went to the half break deadlocked at 1-1.
A classic tale of two-halves as the Magicians forward bursts were clinical. Luis gave us the lead again early in the second half as he latched onto Beecho's long ball, beat his two defenders to smash in under the Weston keeper. From there it was one way traffic, and Luis would get his double in some style, ghosting in from deep to head home Bake's pin point corner cross with no contest. 3-1 to the good, Magic would empty the subs bench, and after over a year out Bailey Wells re-announced his return to football emphatically with a late double. His first goal smashing home Bake's long-range shot after the keeper punched into his path following it into the box. His second capped off a great team play, first Zeke beat his man after receiving his pass deep inside our own half and then dribbled forward to find Luis peeling out wide on the corner of the Weston box, Zeke dummied Luis's cross for it to fall perfectly for Wellsey on the penlaty spot to smash home... Full time at Magic Park with the rain falling and the Magicians second half hair drier sends a scruffy bear back up the Hunter Expressway.

Next week we break for the spare weekend, then return to Magic Park on the 12th July for the RED AND BLUE DERBY.

Dimo Air U16's- 1-1 Draw
Finance Triangle Australia U15's- 3-0 MAGIC WIN!!!
1 U14's- 1-0 MAGIC WIN!!!
U13's- 8-2 Loss

9 from 15 points secured and great to be back to winning ways after a frustrating few weeks for some teams.

Next weekend our Youth Magicians travel to Cooks Square Park for Maitland FC fixtures.

MATCH DAY- NPL Northern NSW Football action return to Magic Park today, in our traditional slot for the blockbuster clash of Broadmeadow magic versus Weston Bears FC. Smarting off our loss last week, but damage minimised due to Westons drop of points as well. This is setting up to be a huge match in the context of the season. A Magic win and we jump to 37 points, 10 ahead of Weston who have a game in hand. A Weston win puts them on 30 points and 4 points behind with a game in hand. So much to play for, and despite the recent inclament weather, we hope a huge crowd can join us at Magic Park to cheer on our Magicians as we avenge our Australia Cup loss.

Broadmeadow Magic are delighted to open Expressions of Interest for joining our National Premier Leagues Men's' and Women's' squads and Premier Youth League Boys and Girls squads for Season 2027.

With experienced, qualified and highly dedicated coaches, Broadmeadow Magic pride ourselves on delivering a quality football program underpinned by our willingness to promote youth within our program age groups based on performance, attitude and ability. Supported and underpinned by our highly-accomplished and accredited football staff, players within our niche of the talented player pathway will develop in an environment of high expectation and technical instruction.

We are looking for outfield players and goalkeepers who would like their football development challenged in the following age groups:

-PYL 13's (BOYS)
-PYL 14's (BOYS)
-PYL 15's (BOYS)
-PYL 16's (BOYS)
-PYL 18's (BOYS)
-NPL RESERVE GRADE (MEN)

Expressions of interest will close on COB Friday 14th August, 2026. Players will be invited to trial based on a process of EOI analysis and/or match observation for your current team. Trial details will be communicated in the future via the contact details provided.

Existing (2026) Magic players from our JDL, and PYL programs DO NOT need to EOI, this is for prospective NEW players only.
