On Wednesday 28th January the Maryland Fletcher cricket club was able to tick off another very special milestone with mother and daughter duo Rae Andrzejczak and Bonnie Wilmot taking the field together against Warners Bay at Feighan Oval Warners Bay for our Women’s T20 Side.
What a cool achievement for our little club. Well done ladies.

🎅 Well… this wasn’t on our Christmas wish list 🎅
An early Christmas present delivered today at Bill Elliott Oval, courtesy of someone deciding the cricket pitch makes a great bike track / playground 🙃
If anyone has seen local kids riding bikes or mucking around on the turf today, we’d love to know. Preparing the pitch takes a huge amount of volunteer time, and this sort of “gift” makes it pretty hard to put games on for our local teams!
The oval is there to enjoy — the pitch very much isn’t.

What an incredible day for our club! We’re proud to share that $531 was raised for the McGrath Foundation as part of our inaugural Pink Stumps Day 🙌

Maryland Fletcher Cricket Club x McGrath Foundation
On Saturday 20th, we’re turning Bill Elliott Oval PINK for our annual Pink Stumps Day, raising vital funds for the McGrath Foundation and their incredible Breast Care Nurses.

We’ve got a massive day lined up:
🏏 11:00am – Junior Pink Stumps Session
All our juniors are invited to come down, wear pink, and get the chance to play on the turf pitch!
🏏 1:30pm – Senior Pink Stumps Match
Our senior side hits the field in full pink spirit as we continue the fundraising into the afternoon.

This week’s Player of the Week goes to Daine Stevens from our Division 6 side after another outstanding performance with the bat.
Daine hammered 109 runs, bringing up his second century of the season and continuing his incredible run of form. A dominant innings that once again showed his class and consistency at the crease. 💙💛
