We did it! We made it to the finish of Otago! 🙌
What a way to end the event. Finishing on Kuri Bush was the most iconic and spectacular way to wrap up the 50th Anniversary of the Otago Rally. The roads were incredible, the atmosphere was amazing, and we couldn’t have asked for a better final stage and service crew. Thank you to everyone who followed along and supported us!
We’re absolutely over the moon to make it through what has been a tough rally. With 14 DNFs in our class alone, it really shows just how challenging this event was. To bring the car home and (we think) finish 8th in class makes us incredibly proud.
A huge well done to all competitors! Otago is not easy, and finishing is an achievement in itself. Stay safe, keep rolling, and we can’t wait to do it all again.
What an unforgettable 50th anniversary of Otago. 💛🚗💨

Morning loop done at Otago 😆
We’ve just finished Stages 9, 10 and 11 for our first run of the day and we’re now back in service. They were tight, technical stages with plenty of steep crests to keep us on our toes which was a whole lot of fun.
Everything is feeling really good in the car. The focus now is to keep it clean, stay consistent across the afternoon loop and work our way toward the finish line.

Thank you Richard Clunie for this one!
Day One at Otago Rally NZ completed and the best way to summarise it?
Skids, smiles and serious fun.
It's hard to call notes when you smiling too much.

Stages 3, 4 and 5 done and we are having an absolute ball out here! 😄
We’re now back in service and getting ready to head back out for Stages 6 and 7. After that, we’ll be preparing for the Super Special tarmac stage right in the town of Dunedin, which should be something really special!

Stage 1 & 2 done and what incredible stages they were! 🙌
Glenn and I felt really comfortable straight away and found a great rhythm early. The car felt good, the roads were fantastic and we were really enjoying ourselves out there.
However, rallying always likes to keep things interesting… At the end of Stage 1, we discovered the battery wasn’t charging and ended up with a completely flat battery. Not ideal! Thankfully, another crew came to our rescue (rally family at its best), and we were able to swap in a spare battery and make it to Stage 2.
We’ve now just finished Stage 2 and are currently in service, getting ready to head back out for another 75km of competitive stages.
Huge thanks to the crew who helped us!🚗💨

Otago Rally Update 🇳🇿
Glenn Brinkman and I have had really productive days of recce here in New Zealand. Yesterday, our plan was to head out west and tackle the longer stages, getting a solid feel for the rhythm and flow of these incredible roads.
Today, we drove south and completed some seriously fun stages, including Kuri Bush. It’s been awesome working through our one-to-eight notes on such fast, technical and beautiful roads... Otago really is something special.
This afternoon we also attended the Ceremonial Start which was really special. It almost felt like an Australian reunion with so many Aussies here competing and supporting. Huge thank you to Zara at Zed Photography for capturing these wonderful moments.
Our alarm is set for 6am (NZ time) tomorrow for Day 1 of racing.
Hope to see you out on the stages and if not, we’ll keep you updated here on Facebook. 😝 On The Brink Motorsport
