It’s the busiest time of the year at Newy Girls Football Academy, and we’re so grateful for everyone’s patience and support as players return from their winter season 💗⚽️

Some sessions are almost full - but we still have vacancies available, including:
• Wednesday 5:30–7pm (ages 10–15)
• Wednesday 5–6pm (ages 6–9)
• Monday 5–6pm (ages 6–9) - newly reopened with 20 extra spots!

Term 3 started with plenty of excitement for our youngest girls.

📣 Fast Fives Update - Please Read

NNSWF has given us early details for this year’s Fast Fives, and several girls’ age groups have moved to new nights. This affects GU12, GU13 and GU14, which will no longer run on Thursdays.

New playing days:
– GU12: Tuesdays
– GU13: Tuesdays
– GU14: Wednesdays

Season dates (Youth):
– Registrations open: 27 July 2026
– Registrations close: 4 September 2026
– Season start: Tuesday 15 September 2026
– Season end: 17 December 2026
– Two‑week break: 28 September - 12 October (school holidays)

We know this creates challenges for families who had already planned around the traditional Thursday schedule. To help us understand who can still participate under the new timetable, we are organising our teams now.

If your daughter would like to play Fast Fives this season, please flag your interest with us as soon as possible so we can plan appropriately.

We’ll be handling all player registrations through our new app, Spond. Families already in the program have been sent instructions on how to join the new system.

Newy Girls FA continues to grow because families value a supportive, predictable environment where girls can develop their skills, build confidence, and enjoy their football. In 2027 we’re offering:

⚽ GU10 Development Squad
⚽ GU13 Development Squad
⚽ GU14 Development Squads (two squads)

With licensed coaches, a female‑led coaching team, wet‑weather facilities, and optional interstate tournaments, our focus remains on helping girls thrive on and off the field.

Even in the middle of school holidays, our GU13 Development Squad showed exactly what makes this group special. Eleven girls turned up today - no substitutes, no complaints, just pure commitment - and they played their little hearts out.

In a narrow defeat, they showed resilience, teamwork, and the kind of attitude we’re incredibly proud of. This squad continues to grow every week, and their effort today says everything about who they are and what they’re building together.
