Hell sets. Sloooooow reps, lowest depth I can hit without lumbar rounding. Timed rest periods. Focusing completely on setting back in my heels, toes crushing into the ground to ensure I've got support running from feet to ankles to knees to hips. Trying to avoid acceleration on the way up. This was a great session to feel like you're absolutely dying on a day I wasn't really feeling like heavy weights.

My is to take myself even further than I am here, freshy from , love that we managed to get such a fantastic snap featuring my favourite past time, being upside down. I still feel like every time I cut my arms seem to vanish on me a lil, and I'm shaking up my program to fix this (and my calves, shut up 🐄)

Mobility Monday. 5 sets, 1 minute at a time, rocking side to side in the absolute lowest squat you can maintain. Great way to find where your tightest areas inhibiting your squat depth are. Also a great way to weird out the other guy in an empty gym, ensure proper form, lock eye contact

this exercise has been band. push through some plateus with band assistance, this is a great way to overload your muscles actual capacity, while, unlike most cheating methods, not having to drop your form. The band will help push the bar to the top at which point you'll be in contraction under a weight you otherwise couldn't cleanly lift. have fun widit

"Aren't they really high in carbs?"
DAAAAAAYUM SON. Misinformation is a helluva drug. I've had multiple people in my time as a PT who've pooled the likes of carrots and potatoes with things like bread and pasta. This is where the mindset has let a few things slip through the cracks, people really concerned about their protein and carbs and leaving the rest to sort itself out.
For one, we want as many vitamins and minerals as you can get in your diet, and the more varied vegetables you're adding in there, the better you're gonna be looking on that.
Two, there is always going to be a high fibre content in vegetables, which is going to make your body expend more energy to absorb all the nutrients. That's a win, unless you decide to eat more to compensate 😜
Lastly the high fibre content is also going to cause you to feel full waaaaay sooner. Ever sat down to a full plate of veggies and some meat? I'm *stuffed* halfway through.
Not all calories are created equal, and nor are macronutrients, it makes me sad to hear anyone telling me someone has told them something that is going to decrease their vegetable intake.
If you're gonna take nothing else from this. Eat. More. Veggies. Doesn't matter. Eat em.
