Congratulations to the formidable Anne Rossi for her silver medal at the World Masters Athletics Championships in Daegu, South Korea.
Anne returned to sprinting only a few years ago and has hit the ground running (sorry for the pun!).
As a coach to many young athletes at WLAC and Williamstown Athletic Club, she leads by example showing that preparation and hard work really does pay off!

The Maribyrnong Sports Academy is closing the Year 9 2027 application process on Wednesday the 24th. In 2 days time

MSA has an intake of 26 student-athletes for entry into Year 9. In previous years, only a very small number of places were available at this year level.
Selection is based not only on current performance, but also on demonstrated potential for development in high-performance sport, along with suitability for balancing sporting and academic commitments, effort, and behaviour. Athletes must have represented their sport at either State or National level.

If you’re driven to excel both on the field and in the classroom, this is your opportunity to join one of Victoria’s leading sports academies.

If you are still looking for a winter activity for the kids,
Kensington Junior Netball Club’s highly regarded NetSetGo program will be running a development squad for beginners (girls and boys) during term two.
It’s a great way to put those running, jumping and throwing skills to good use!

KJNC will be running a netball development squad targeted at new players, starting April 24, 2026.
Sessions will be held at Kensington's Holy Rosary Primary School on Fridays between 4-5pm.
Girls and boys aged five to 10 years old can register: no previous experience is necessary!

What a fabulous weekend a handful of our athletes had at Stawell! U12 Maggie ended up finishing 4th in the LAVic Girls 100m handicap (after blitzing her opponents in her semi final)👊! U16 Cooper ran an epic LAVic 1600m handicap off scratch, days after getting Doctor’s clearance to run after busting a finger. Cooper passed an incredible 32 athletes to cross the line in 4th place (beaten only by athletes starting 170m, 90m and 95 metres in front of him! Incredible💪! U14s Charlize and Nancy found time between races to squeeze in a selfie 📸 with Women’s Stawell Gift winner Sha’Carri Richardson. And both U9 Alfie and U12 Anika ran their hearts out in multiple races 😍. Well done everyone!

Maggie will be wearing a pink bib. Cheer her on by watching the final at 3:55, streamed on 7plus.
The boys final starts at 3:45pm.
