Life Member — Wendy Grant

Wendy Grant has transformed our trainer program through her leadership, professionalism and fierce commitment to player welfare. Countless hours of her work happen behind the scenes, but Wendy’s impact is felt across the entire club.

Her care for our players and determination to ensure they are safe and supported has been exceptional. Wendy is also always one of the first people to put her hand up to help, whether it’s a working bee, social event or official club role, selflessly volunteering hours and hours of her time.

And, as anyone who receives her trainer newsletters will know, Wendy is also our undisputed “Queen of Stats”! 👑📊

Congratulations Wendy, and thank you for everything you have given to Newport Power. We are incredibly proud to welcome you as a Life Member of Newport Power Junior Football Club.

And her contribution certainly doesn’t stop there.

Whether it’s cooking the BBQ, taking on official roles when we host finals or simply providing support wherever it’s needed, Sloane is always willing to put her hand up and help.

Life Member — Serena Christensen

Serena Christensen is quite simply one of the administrative backbones of Newport Power.

Our Team App and PlayHQ guru, Serena has spent countless hours managing registrations, setting up teams, coordinating trophies and medals, communicating with families and solving problems, all while volunteering at club events and invariably being one of the last people there packing up.

So much of what happens at our club happens smoothly because Serena is behind it.

Her dedication, organisation and willingness to give her time have made an enormous difference to our club and to the experience of our players, families and volunteers.

A huge thank you, Serena, for all the work you do behind the scenes and for the incredible contribution you have made to Newport Power.

We are incredibly proud to welcome you as a Life Member of Newport Power Junior Football Club.

From the day-to-day jobs that keep the club running to the responsibilities that require dedication, organisation and commitment, Jasmine has always been willing to step up and help.

Life Member — Erin Boyce

Erin Boyce has been an enormous contributor across virtually every part of Newport Power. From football operations and supporting Team Managers to improving systems, communication and planning, Erin has always been someone people can turn to.

Her commitment to every team, player and family reflects the inclusive, one-club culture we strive for.

Erin’s lasting legacy is felt every day in every checklist we refer to, every process that makes life easier for our volunteers, and every well-labelled and organised tub we go looking through!

Our club simply would not have run as smoothly as it has over the past few years without Erin.

Congratulations Erin, and thank you for your incredible contribution to Newport Power. We are delighted to welcome you as a Life Member of Newport Power Junior Football Club.

Life Member - Cam Smith

Cam Smith is a true advocate for Newport Power and someone for whom no job is too big or too small.

From coaching back in 2017, to supporting Auskick, helping with events, securing some great w**e deals for our members and functions, and simply being there whenever the club needs a hand, Cam gives generously and always with a smile. 😄

His willingness to get involved and support the club in so many different ways is exactly what community football is all about.

Cam is one of those people who can always be relied upon to put his hand up and help, and his contribution to Newport Power has been both significant and lasting.

Congratulations Cam, and thank you for everything you have given to our club.

We are incredibly proud to welcome you as a Life Member of Newport Power Junior Football Club!

LIFE MEMBERSHIP

We are incredibly proud to recognise Cam Smith, Erin Boyce, Jasmine Middleton, Serena Christensen, Sloane Karlson and Wendy Grant as Life Members of Newport Power Junior Football Club.

Life Membership recognises far more than years of service. It celebrates those people who have given an extraordinary amount of their time, energy and care to make our club stronger and better for everyone.

Each of these six people has made an incredible and lasting contribution to Newport Power. Much of their work has happened quietly behind the scenes, without expectation of recognition, but their impact is felt right across our club.

Be sure to check out each individual post for our new Life Members celebrating their contribution and saying a very well-deserved thank you for everything they have given to NPJFC.

Congratulations Cam, Erin, Jasmine, Serena, Sloane and Wendy - six thoroughly deserving Life Members of Newport Power Junior Football Club. We are so grateful for everything you have done, and continue to do, for our club.

CLUB PERSON/FAMILY OF THE YEAR

For 2026 our Club Person / Family of the Year recognition goes to Stacey Lynn and Lance Wilson.

Across both our boys’ and girls’ programs, Stacey has been an outstanding Team Manager, bringing incredible organisation, communication and positivity to every team she supports. Most importantly, she has a wonderful ability to make every player and family feel welcome, valued and included.

Stacey consistently goes above and beyond, celebrating individual achievements, recognising milestones and creating positive team environments where every child feels like they belong. She is also a passionate champion of girls in sport and has played an important role in building an inclusive and supportive culture within our girls’ program.

Alongside Stacey is Lance, a generous and ever-reliable volunteer who has supported teams as a trainer and team manager and is always willing to help wherever needed. He has also captured countless fantastic photographs of our players in action, giving families memories they will treasure for years to come.

With Spencer and Lizzie playing at Newport Power, Stacey and Lance have made contributing to the club a true family affair. The nominations they have received over multiple years tell the same story - a family that is welcoming, inclusive, hardworking and always willing to go above and beyond for others.

Congratulations Stacey and Lance, you are both very worthy recipients of our Club Person / Family of the Year!
