Lyndale Cricket Club The Lyndale Cricket Club was established in 1963 as a means for local children/seniors to become involved in cricket.

The club plays at the Barry Powell Reserve, Halton Road, Dandenong North. Lyndale Cricket Club was formed in 1963 by local resident, Mr. Ted Owen, with the objective of providing local children the opportunity to learn and play the game of cricket. That season he developed a constitution and entered one senior and one junior team into the Dandenong and District Cricket Association. Lyndale are proud to say that we standby the values instilled in the club by Ted more than 50 years ago. We are a family orientated and multicultural club, offering people the chance to play cricket irrespective of race, religion or financial status. Notably, the club has previously received awards for work with Indigenous and migrant groups within our community.

💙🩵DAY 1 RECAP🩵💙

It was quite the day out for all 4 sides over the weekend, setting up for a ripper second day next weekend.

Fundency Turf 3 bowled Berwick Springs out for 113 and then made 5/117 at Stumps. Faraz helped the cause in both departments, first getting 5/20 with the ball, supported by Rajika’s 2/46.

Our Turf 5 side scored a monstrous 351, batting out all 80 overs thanks to the De Silva opening partnership where Priyan made 73 and his son Nathan scored a massive 166 💪

Molis Autocare B Grade batted first and put up 231 at Stumps, thanks to Aaron-James O'Dath’s 55 supported by Hashan’s 49.

Our E Grade side bowled Fountain Gate out for 113, with Krishn’s 5/23 setting the tone, backed up by Rohan’s 3/30.

Job’s not done as we still have a second day coming up next week, GO DALES!

💙🩵Milestone Alert🩵💙

Hamish Macca is playing in his 50th Senior game for Lyndale which is doubly impressive when you add in the fact he’s only 16 years of age! Mr Minister of Defence with the Bat and a threatening Off Spinner, H can do it all and we hope this is just the first of many milestones for him at Lyndale.

He’s playing at Home this round, so get around him and come down to support!

Go H and Go Dales!

💙🩵ROUND 1 VETS RESULTS🩵💙

It was also a dominant performance across our Veterans, showing their class and experience in 2 dominant victories across both the O40s and O50s to start their title run for the 26/27 season 💪

The O40s won the toss and batted first, and what better start than both our openers getting to 40 and retiring not out to set the tone for the rest of the innings. The Bowlers then took over and knew their job with consistent wickets leading to a 30 run victory over St Pauls Oakleigh!

The O50s also elected to bat first and had each of their Top 4 get to 40 before retiring, which propelled them to 3/227 before Colin took 4 and lead the bowling attack to a 47 run victory over Clifton Hill!

Keep it going Dales 🔥
