Curl Curl FC Curl Curl Football Club was formed in 1958. We field over 100 teams in the Manly Warringah Football Association. It will return for its 5th season in 2017.

Curl Curl Youth Club was formed in 1958, with 2018 being the clubs 60th anniversary. It fields teams in the Manly Warringah Soccer competition and we have members from Under 6 to Over 35 in the mixed, men’s and ladies competitions. We are a medium sized club compared to our peers in the Manly Warringah competition. Our Club continues to expand and we had 1024 playing members for the 2016 season (90 more than in 2015) in 75 teams. In addition we had 176 registered coaches, managers and volunteers. Over the last 5 years our player numbers have increased by 33%. Our home fields are at Abbott Road in North Curl Curl where we have 2 full size pitches and various pitches for the younger age groups. We also have the use of another full-size pitch on the south side of the lagoon at Adams St. We had fantastic floodlighting installed in 2010 covering the entire Abbott Rd area. Our next project is a new clubhouse which is at the DA stage. The focus at Curl Curl is on developing our young players and so in 2013 we commenced Junior Development Training for U6-U10 on a Monday night at the futsal courts in Harbord. This program was extremely well received and has been continued and expanded ever since and in 2016 included the U11 & U12 age groups as well. At Curl Curl we are also committed to increasing the level of coach education at our club. Curl Curl presents its own grassroots and skill training courses and we strongly encourage our coaches to attend the course relevant to the age group with which they are involved. Our coaches can also access, free of charge, the courses conducted by the MWFA. In our younger age groups (U6 - U11) more than 70% of our coaches are correctly qualified for the age group they are coaching. This is a fantastic achievement given that all our coaches are volunteers. We plan to improve on that percentage in coming years.

WOW! What a Trivia Night! 🎉⚽ (from a few weeks ago!!)
The room was packed, the atmosphere was buzzing, and by the end of the night things were certainly lively!
A massive thank you to everyone who attended, donated, volunteered, sponsored, and supported the event. The generosity of our Curl Curl FC community continues to amaze us.
We're thrilled to share that together we've raised enough money to purchase new soccer goals for the club, which is a fantastic outcome for our players and teams.
This is what community football is all about. đź’™

Our AL1's are into the big dance! Our AL1's coach Aaron Kemp had this to say after the victory:

'We bloody did it. I am so proud of this group of young men. They have played their heart out all season, and on the weekend they won their semifinal with true grit and courage. It was always going to be a tough one when 2nd plays 3rd, but we did it. Grand final next week. Make sure to come down to Cromer Park and cheer us on to beat a team we have never beaten in four seasons.' So proud. Curl Curl FC - the pathway is alive and producing results.

You can catch our AL1's in action on Saturday at Cromer Park 1, kickoff at 12pm.

It’s been a fantastic season from both squads, and they’ll be back in action this Sunday with a place in the Grand Final on the line. Get down and support the girls as they represent Curl Curl in two big semi-final clashes.

Good luck to both teams. Bring it home Curly!

A message from our AL'1s Head Coach, Aaron Kemp ahead of there Semi Final vs Seaforth.

25 Years ago I and Paul Franks created a plan for Curl Curl FC to create it’s own development pathway that would see our home-grown players help us to get into the premier league.

Today that dream is starting to become a reality. 4 years ago I created a 5-year plan when I was given the Head Coaching role for our AL1’s to get promoted within 5 years.

First year we were building and finished bottom, second year still building the squad and finished just below the bottom.

Third year we started developing the players and cementing in our formation. Finished mid table.

Fourth year (2026) the goal to finish top 4. On Saturday that goal became a reality. Although our final result didn’t go our way we locked in 3rd spot on the ladder and head to semi-finals next Saturday against Seaforth who are being promoted into premier league next year. We are playing at Lionel Watts at 2:30 PM.

This goal was achieved with 80 % local players who have come up through that pathway or who have played together as mates in the local comp.

We would love as many of our Curl Curl parents and kids to come along and support us from the sidelines.

Thanks
Aaron Kemp Head Coach AL1’s
