🇦🇺 Australian Men's U18 National Team Selections 🇦🇺

Volleyball Tasmania is thrilled to congratulate 👏 Tasmanian athlete Ed Huys and assistant coach Emilie Robles on their U18 Men National Team selection!

You are both making the Volleyball Tasmania Junior Development Program very proud!

This morning, they are heading to Osaka, Japan, ahead of a 12-day development tour culminating in a three-match series against Japan 🇯🇵 U18 Men's team!

Southern League - Autumn 2024

Div 1 men lost to UTAS: 1-2

Div 1 women lost to Van Diemens: 1-2

After a dominant display in the regular season, finishing undefeated.
After a tough encounter in the preliminary finals, dominating the #2 ranked team in an intense 5-setter.

They did it. In a no-looking-back kind of performance, the VIK Div 2 W team ended their opponent's hope with a majestic 3-0 win to secure their first Tasmanian Southern League title.

Many congratulations to all, a deserved ending to a journey that demonstrated all the progress made in the past 2 years.

Two tense battles took place yesterday in the semi finals of Southern League.

In Div3 M, our team played a really good brand of volleyball, terminating a fairly disputed affair with a neat score of 3-0. Unfortunately, as many of the players had to step up a division to support our Division 1 M team, most of the Div 3 players did not end up qualifying in Div 3 and the match is therefore declared lost. Proud of the efforts and the type of volleyball being played.

In Div1 W, a close game ended up with a 3-1 loss to UTAS. Some great performance in display, but the experience on the UTAS side made the difference in the business end of the sets.

Next Monday, our Div 2 W team is taking the court to play Van Diemens Volleyball Club in the division Grand Final. Make it happen!

In an intense battle last night, our mighty Division 2 W warriors overcame a difficult start against Van Diemens Volleyball Club to secure their spot in the grand final. Great effort, see you in 2 weeks to support your quest to the title!

Next Monday, our Divsion 1 Women and Division 3 Men will battle it out in their qualifying finals. Stay tuned!

Tasmania State Lague 2023 - Round 3.

The round robin of the 2023 Tasmanian State League is over, and both our teams qualify quite comfortably to the semi-finals! Great efforts by everyone!
The season is not over though. This very next Saturday, our teams will play their semifinal games against in the women competition and Van Diemens Volleyball Club in the men, for a re-match of the past two state league finals!!!

Can Vikings Volleyball Club create one or two upsets? Please come and support at Moonah Sport Centre. Game times will be announced shortly.

A tougher weekend on the road in Devonport, but some important wins secured in order to qualify for the semifinals. Both the Vikings Volleyball Club representative teams are on track, just one weekend to go.
