🌶️ This is my signature: turning a dance class into an experience that engages all five senses.

It’s not just about learning the steps. It’s about immersing yourself in a culture, awakening emotions, sharing stories, enjoying beautiful aromas, taking a moment to reflect, reconnecting with your body… and, of course, filling your heart with joy through plenty of hip movement. 💃🇨🇴

That’s exactly what we experienced as part of the City of Hobart’s Healthy Communities Program. People from Australia, France, China, Brazil, the United States (Texas), and Colombia didn’t just learn cumbia—they travelled to Colombia without ever leaving Tasmania.

That’s how I teach. That’s my essence. And that’s the experience I want every person to take away from Salsita.
