North Lakes Leopards Rugby Union Club

We are dedicated to supporting and encouraging all players. Join us and be part of a community where every player has a place!

Rugby is more than just a sport—it’s a way to build friendships, encourage growth, and support one another on and off the field. Our seasons run from March to August with older teams running pre season training before the commencement of the season. Most teams train on a Friday afternoon from 5pm to 6pm (to be confirmed by team’s manager and coach). The emphasis of the program is to have fun and to learn through positive reinforcement in a safe and managed environment. Rugby Union is a game that develops leadership, team spirit, courage, sportsmanship, and friendship. These values and traditions develop from the first time a young player shakes hands with their opposite number, leading to a lifelong passion for and involvement with the game at all levels. Foremost, the game of Rugby embodies our Leopards values and our community’s indomitable spirit. The key values of the game of rugby consist of our Leopards pride, teamwork and camaraderie, love of the game, and tradition and heritage.

Our AGM has been moved to the following week.

A big thank you to North Lakes Hotel for providing the space for us.

We really need our members to attend. A quorum is required for the AGM to proceed, so your attendance genuinely matters.

You don’t have to be on the committee to help — if you can lend some time to carry an idea forward or support a project, that’s the practical help we need.

Our AGM is coming up and this year we’re asking our whole Leopards community to get involved.

Positions open for nomination are:
• President – 1 year
• Vice President – 2 years
• Treasurer – 1 year
• Secretary – 2 years
• 3 × General Committee Members – 1 year

To keep moving our club forward, we need more hands.
Being involved doesn’t have to mean taking on a committee position. If you can volunteer your time, help with a particular area, bring an idea to life, share a skill or simply lend a hand when needed, we would love to hear from you.

The more people we have supporting the club, the easier it is to make sure the right people are in the right roles, share the workload and reduce the risk of volunteer and committee burnout.

We also need our members to attend the AGM. A quorum is required for the meeting to proceed, so your attendance really does matter.

Most importantly, everyone is welcome. We all care about the future of the Leopards, and we ask that the AGM and conversations around it remain respectful, constructive and focused on what is best for our players, families and club.

If you’ve been thinking about giving rugby a go, now is the perfect time. Girls 7s is fast, fun and a great way to build confidence, skills and friendships.

Existing 2026 North Lakes players – FREE
New players – $220

New player registration includes playing jersey, training tee, shorts and socks.

PlayOn Sports Vouchers can be used.

Our 2026 Junior Presentation Day kicks off from 12PM tomorrow and we’re ready for a HUGE afternoon celebrating our Junior Leopards!

We’ve got jumping castles, obstacle courses, games, face painting, a photobooth, an ice cream truck 🍦 and plenty more to keep the kids entertained!

🍔 The canteen will be open with all your favourites too!

At our Senior Presentation Night, our men shared something incredibly meaningful to our club.

Written, composed and choreographed specifically for the North Lakes Leopards by Mike Saddlier and Rauahi (John) Jobe, HIKITIA TE REPA — Lifting the Leopards acknowledges the people who lift this club and give so much to it.

Men’s 7s is coming to North Lakes. 🐆🏉

We’re gearing up for two big tournaments this October:

🏉 Brisvegas 7s — Saturday 24 October
🏉 Wynnum Brisbane Bay 7s — Saturday 31 October

Training is on every Thursday night at 6:30pm at Woodside Oval, North Lakes Leopards Rugby Union Club.

If you’re keen to play fast, physical, high-tempo 7s and be part of the Leopards squad, get down to training.
