Mackay Rangers Football Club invites all players, parents, partners, supporters and life members to attend our 2026 Annual General Meeting (AGM).

🖤💛 LIFE MEMBERSHIP – BRENT & CODIE PARNICOTT 💛🖤

Mackay Rangers Football Club is incredibly proud to announce and celebrate our two newest Life Members, Brent and Codie Parnicott! 🏆

Life Membership is one of the highest honours our club can bestow, recognising those who have given so much of their time, energy and passion to making Rangers the club it is today.

Brent’s contribution to Rangers over the years has been nothing short of extraordinary. From playing, coaching and managing teams to serving as Club President, securing grants and sponsorships, improving our facilities and lending a hand wherever needed, Brent has dedicated countless hours to the growth and success of our club. His efforts have helped secure more than $350,000+ in grants and sponsorship, including funding for our Field 1 lighting upgrade, leaving a lasting legacy for our players and future generations.

Brent’s dedication to football has also been recognised beyond our club, receiving the Service to Football Gold Award at both regional and state level in 2024, representing Whitsunday Coast and Football Queensland. 🏆

Codie has been just as instrumental in the heart and soul of our club. Through her work as a Player, Coach, Manager, Committee Member, Canteen Convenor and Carnival Coordinator, she has given countless hours behind the scenes to keep Rangers running. From organising supplies and volunteers to ensuring our game days and events run smoothly, Codie’s dedication, care and commitment have made an enormous difference to our club community.

Together, Brent and Codie have contributed far more than most people will ever see. They have helped build friendships, strengthen our club culture, create opportunities for players and families, and make Rangers a place where people feel welcome and belong.

Their commitment has always extended beyond the football field. They have given their time, made sacrifices and helped shape a club that our entire community can be proud of.

Rangers is a better club because of you both. 🖤💛

On behalf of our committee, players, families, volunteers and wider Rangers community, thank you, Brent and Codie, for everything you have done and continue to do for our club.

🏆 2026 CLUB PERSON OF THE YEAR – COREY WEAVER 🖤💛

Mackay Rangers Football Club is proud to announce Corey Weaver as our 2026 Club Person of the Year!

Corey was presented with 2026 Club Person of the year at our awards night last Saturday, where he also picked up Div2 most improved and a stack of cheese or yellow cards I'm not sure?? 😂🤣😅

In his first year at Rangers, Corey has truly embraced what it means to be part of the black and gold family. Not only has he taken on the role of coaching one of our junior teams, helping introduce our youngest players to the game we all love, but he has also become someone the club can rely on whenever a helping hand is needed.

From volunteering at the gate and in the canteen to helping behind the scenes and taking on the jobs that often go unnoticed, Corey has consistently put his hand up wherever needed. From the start of the season through to our Annual 8-Aside Carnival, his willingness to give his time and get involved has been outstanding.

What makes Corey so deserving of this recognition is that he never does it for the praise or recognition. He does it because he genuinely cares about the club, our people and what we are building together at Mackay Rangers.

Corey is a fantastic example of the Rangers spirit — someone who leads by example, supports others and understands that a successful football club is built on much more than what happens on the pitch.

👏 Congratulations, Corey, and thank you for everything you have contributed to Rangers in 2026. Your efforts are noticed, valued and greatly appreciated by everyone at the club.

🏆 2026 KEN LORIMER AWARD – PLAYER OF THE YEAR 🖤💛

Mackay Rangers Football Club is proud to congratulate Ben Sonter, the recipient of the prestigious 2026 Ken Lorimer Award – Player of the Year, presented at our Senior Presentation Night last Saturday!

Named in honour of Ken Lorimer, this award recognises a player who embodies the true values of being a Ranger, demonstrating excellence on the field, commitment to the club and a willingness to contribute beyond match day.

Ben has been an integral part of our FQPL3 Men's Premiership-winning side, helping deliver a historic premiership — the club's first in 33 years! 🏆

As our goalkeeper, Ben has played a vital role throughout the season, providing composure, leadership and reliability between the posts. Featuring in 17 matches, including two finals appearances, his crucial saves and performances in tight games helped lay the foundation for the team's outstanding success.

But this award recognises much more than what happens on the pitch. Ben's commitment to Mackay Rangers, his willingness to give back to the club and the way he represents the black and yellow make him a thoroughly deserving recipient.

Football is a team game, and while goals often grab the headlines, the contributions that protect results and inspire confidence are just as important. Ben has demonstrated exactly that throughout the 2026 season.

Congratulations, Ben, on this well-deserved recognition! Thank you for your commitment, your contribution and everything you do for Mackay Rangers Football Club.

Are you ready to be part of the Rangers family?

Mackay Rangers Football Club is seeking enthusiastic, dedicated and passionate individuals to join our coaching team!

Whether you're an experienced coach, a parent keen to get involved, or someone looking to take their first steps into coaching, we'd love to hear from you!

At Rangers, we're proud of our strong family culture, community spirit and commitment to developing players of all ages and abilities. Our coaches play an important role in creating a positive, supportive and enjoyable football environment, both on and off the field.

🔍 Who Are We Looking For?
⚽ MiniRoos Coaches – Helping our youngest players develop their skills and love for the game.
⚽ Junior Coaches – Supporting player development, teamwork, confidence and sportsmanship.
⚽ Senior Men's & Women's Coaches – Leading and developing our senior teams.

💛 Experienced or First-Time Coaches – Coaching accreditation is welcomed but not essential, with support available for those wishing to gain qualifications.
🖤 Why Coach with Rangers?
Coaching is about more than just football. It's about building confidence, encouraging teamwork, creating friendships and being a positive role model for our players.

We value coaches who share our commitment to respect, teamwork, sportsmanship and our strong Rangers family culture.
