GNQ Senior Masters – Round 2 Draw Now Available

The stage is set for an exciting final round of the GNQ Senior Masters at Mackay Golf Club.

Following some outstanding scoring in Round 1, all divisions remain wide open with plenty of players still in contention. Players are reminded to check their Round 2 tee times and be ready for a great day of competition.

It’s a fantastic start at Mackay Golf Club, with a record field of 117 players taking to the course! 👏

🌦️ There are a few rain showers predicted, but that won’t stop what promises to be some great golf over the coming days.

The excitement is building with a record field set to tee it up at Mackay Golf Club for the 2026 GNQ Senior Open.

The draw is now available and we are down to just 8 spots remaining, so if you are still thinking about playing, now is the time to secure your place.

A few reminders for players:

✅ Your GGID will not be active until Monday morning when the competition goes live.

✅ Tuesday will be an 8:00am shotgun start.

✅ Breakfast will be available for purchase at Mackay Golf Club on both Monday and Tuesday mornings.

There are now only a small number of spots remaining for the GNQ Senior Open at Mackay Golf Club on Monday 31 August and Tuesday 1 September 2026.

📢 Magnetic Island Junior Open Cancellation Notice

Golf North Queensland advises that Magnetic Island Golf Club has unfortunately cancelled its 2026 Junior Open.

We understand this news will be disappointing for junior golfers, families and clubs who were looking forward to the event. We thank Magnetic Island Golf Club for advising us and appreciate the effort that goes into organising junior competitions.

We encourage our junior golfers to continue supporting the remaining junior events on the Golf North Queensland calendar and look forward to seeing everyone at upcoming tournaments.
