SAVE THE DATE: END OF YEAR GRADING!

Mark your calendars. Saturday 5th December is our End of Year Grading and we cannot wait to celebrate with everyone.

We will be holding three gradings across the day covering all age groups from our youngest students right through to adults. Further details to come — but for now save the date and start getting those stripes ready.

This is one of our favourite days of the year. Seeing how far everyone has come, the hours on the mat, the consistency, the growth — it is everything. See you there.

5 to 8yrs — 9.30am to 11am
8 to 15yrs — 11am to 12.30pm
Adults — 1pm to 1.45pm

The Gracie Elite Invitational in Pakenham, one of our favourite events of the year and this one did not disappoint.

Our team pushed hard across the board and came home with a collection of medals - but the moment that made everyone stop was Ana winning the Best Fight of the event.

For the second year running an ASBJJ competitor took home this honour — last year it was Anderson and this year it was all Ana.

We could not be more proud.

Over the school holidays Professor Lan, Isabella and Ana travelled to Shanghai to visit our affiliate school in China — and what an experience it was.

The team had the opportunity to grade some of their incredibly hard working students to new belts and held a fundraising seminar to support the Heart Foundation, raising money for lifesaving heart surgery for those who cannot afford it.

This is what jiu jitsu is about. Not just what happens on the mats — but the community it builds and the lives it can change far beyond our gym walls.

A huge thank you to Shen, Alisa and Wan for their hospitality and everything they are doing over there. We cannot wait to go back!
