Want to keep your fitness up and stay footy-ready over the off-season? 🔥

We’re excited to offer Hawks players aged 8–12 years the opportunity to join a weekly Off-Season Fitness Session with Shaun from Cheeky Monkeyz! Shaun has been an incredible trainer for the U11s this year and is keen to share his training with juniors within the Hawks community.

📅 Every Thursday (Starting from 10th September 2026)
⏰ 5:30pm – 6:30pm
📍 Turnbull Oval
💰 $10 per session
🏉 Open to Hawks players aged 8–12 years

Shaun normally runs multi-sport classes throughout the Hawkesbury, and he’s offering this special Thursday evening session for our Hawks players to help them:

💪 Build fitness & endurance
⚡ Improve speed, agility & movement
🏃‍♂️ Keep active throughout the summer
🔥 Stay motivated and challenge themselves
🏉 Return next season fit, strong & ready to hit the ground running!

It’s a great way to keep the kids moving, have some fun and make sure they’re ready to go when footy is back! 🙌

HOW GOOD IS THIS!

A huge congratulations to Brax and Ollie from our Under 11s, who have been named the August winners of Play Rugby League’s “Nominate a Mate” competition!

Such a great recognition of what junior footy is all about — mateship, team spirit and looking out for each other both on and off the field.

We love seeing our young Hawks representing our club and the values of rugby league so proudly.

Today we celebrate all the dads and father figures in our Hawks family and throughout our wider community.

To the dads, stepdads, grandads, great-grandads, foster dads, adoptive dads, uncles, carers, guardians, coaches, mentors and the men who simply stepped up and became Dad when they didn’t have to — today we celebrate you.

To the new dads, dads-to-be and those longing or waiting to become dads — we see you too.

To the dads carrying the memory of a child they’ve lost, those facing Father’s Day without their dad, and those whose relationship with their dad or children makes today a difficult one — we’re thinking of you.

And of course, to the fur dads and dads to every other kind of much-loved family member — Father’s Day belongs to you too.

For our Hawks dads and father figures, footy gives us a pretty good view of what showing up looks like — early morning starts, tying boots, searching for the missing mouthguard, carrying gear, helping at training, volunteering, coaching, cheering from the sideline, celebrating the tries and picking them back up after a tough game.

Because just like footy, being a dad or father figure isn’t only about the big moments. It’s showing up, encouraging from the sidelines and being there through the wins, losses and everything in between.

However Father’s Day looks for you today, we hope there’s a little something in it that makes you smile.

Our Under 15s gave absolutely everything in today’s Grand Final, going down by just 2 points in an incredibly close game.

It wasn’t the ending they were hoping for, but nothing can take away from what this team has achieved this season. They made it all the way to a Grand Final, fought until the very end and represented the Hawks with everything they had. You have so much to be proud of!

Of course, we can’t forget all of our U15's families either. Thank you for the lifts to training, early mornings, weekends at footy, cheering from the sidelines and everything else that comes with a season of junior footy. Thank you for being there and backing these boys all year. A team doesn’t get this far without an amazing group of families behind them.

A huge shout out to our two U14s boys, Levi and Ryan, who have stepped up and filled in for the U15s throughout the year, including in today’s Grand Final. Thank you both for putting your hands up and helping this team whenever you were needed. Your support has been so important — without you, there were games this season that simply wouldn’t have been possible. We’re incredibly grateful to have you both as part of the Hawks family.

🏉 TRAINING AND UNIFORM UPDATE 🏉

Great news — Turnbull Oval is OPEN for training! Please speak with your coaching staff for your training time and location on the field.

Uniform office is CLOSED.

Tian will be at Turnbull Oval from 5:30pm for anyone wanting to return their team gear.

Coaches – please return your team bags along with all issued equipment, including cones, vests, kicking tees, balls, tags and bottle carriers.

Managers – please return your manager bags with all issued equipment and any unused Player of the Match vouchers.

If you’re unable to make it to the field, please contact Tian or Shani/Andy to arrange another time to drop your bags and equipment off.

What a WFA season it has been for our Under 12s Black squad! 🖤

From their first game together back in Round 1 through to their final time taking the field, these players experienced exactly what the Weight For Age competition is all about — enjoying their footy, building confidence, developing their skills and competing alongside players of a similar size.

We are incredibly proud of our Hawks representatives and the teamwork, sportsmanship and determination they showed along the way.
