Title: Finding Harmony from the Dojo to the Workplace!

Wow, what an incredible day! On February 24th, the Takemusu Aikido Club had the absolute honor of leading a martial arts demonstration and corporate course, and we are still buzzing from the energy!

We kicked things off with captivating demonstrations of Katori Shinto-ryu (sword), Kyudo (archery), and Aikido, before transitioning into an interactive Aikido Class on "Aikido in Corporate Leadership."

Instead of just talking about workplace challenges, we put them into physical practice. We explored how Aikido principles—like centering your posture, pivoting instead of clashing, and blending with energy—can completely transform how we handle conflict and stress in our day-to-day lives.

We are so incredibly grateful for the overwhelming positive feedback. Hearing so many participants described the event as "captivating" and "uplifting," and seeing the "aha" moments as you connected martial arts to your work and daily life, made it all worth it.

Thank you to Takayasu Sensei, Ian, Soon, Geoff, Yuko, Anh-Lan, Nick, Hashan, Polly, Bobby and Alisa who brought such fantastic energy to the floor. Here is to stepping into the rest of the year with focus, resilience, and harmony!

At Osaka we had the pleasure of training at Abe Sensei's Ameno Takemusu Aiki Juku Dojo (天之武産合氣塾道場). Abe Sensei's father Seiseki Abe taught O-Sensei calligraphy (shodo) and the dojo houses some of O-Sensei's most exquisite works. Abe Sensei graciously provided us with explanations of the caligraphy before training.
