The best part of a Saturday isn’t a drill.

It’s a kid who was quiet in Week 1 calling for the ball by Week 5. It’s the left-hand layup that finally drops after weeks of trying. It’s a parent at pick-up saying, “She hasn’t stopped talking about it.”

That’s what our coaches are here for. They get to know the players and the families, they notice the small wins, and they care about kids leaving a little better at basketball and a lot keener to come back next Saturday.

Term 4 starts Saturday 17 October at Shore School, North Sydney.

One Saturday left! 🏀

With the finish line almost here, Season 1 champ Lee reminded everybody who he is. Seven wins on the day put him at the top of Week 8 and pushed him into #2 overall with 25 wins. Mr. Clutch making a late-season run. 👑

Adison and Gabriel weren’t far behind with 6 wins each, while Dimitrios and Louis picked up 5. Louis still holds the Season 2 lead with 36 wins, but there’s one more Saturday to add to the story.

And maybe the best part of Week 8? More new names on the court. Big welcome to Justin, Max, George, Martin, Hao, Wei, Ma and Wu Quan. 🙌

Every few weeks we look around and there are people competing against each other who didn’t even know each other when the season started. Come in as the new guy. Get thrown into a team. Battle somebody like the game means everything. 😂 Then five minutes later you’re on the sideline talking hoops with them.

8 weeks down. One final Saturday left in Season 2. 🏀🔥

One more day of buckets, battles and memories before we close this chapter.

Last Saturday belonged to Oren S, finishing on top with 6 wins and taking the weekly crown. Right behind him, Shelton L, Leo P and Anf all finished with 5, while Frank, Kai H, Melvin and Tyler stayed right in the mix with 4.

Behind those numbers were plenty of stories: Harley was shooting the lights out, Melvin announced himself to the Runs with a few aerial highlights, and it was great seeing Kai back on court after injury looking sharp again.

Now the overall race is starting to get serious. Louis still holds the top spot with 31 wins, while Dosh and Season 1 champ Lee are sitting behind him at 19 and 18. Kai, Frank, Kunga and Harley are all still stacking wins too.

Seven weeks of battles, new faces, comeback stories and plenty of noise on the court.

Only two Saturdays left in Season 2. At this point, every win matters. 👑🔥

Strong handles mean nothing if you don’t know what to do when you pick up the ball. 🏀

This drill combines stationary ball handling with pivoting to teach our young athletes two fundamentals that constantly show up in real games: controlling the basketball and using their feet under pressure.

These might look like simple skills, but they’re the foundation for playing with confidence when a defender is right in front of you. 👌🏻

This week, the leaderboard had one message: nobody was giving away wins. 🏀🔥

Dimitrios and Louis D came out on top with 6 wins; Dosh, Leo, Lee and Frank close behind with 5 wins.

But the numbers only tell half the story. The games were tight, the matchups were balanced, and wins had to be earned possession by possession. One hot stretch could completely change someone’s afternoon.

Just 3 more Saturdays before the end of Season 2. Three chances to make a run. Three chances to shake up the leaderboard. 👀

Louis D really said, “I’m not done yet.” 😤🏀

Not even a minute into Saturday’s Runs, Louis rolled his ankle and had to sit out. For a minute, it looked like his day might be over.

Then he got back up. And somehow finished the day with 9 wins, the most of anyone on the court. That pushes him straight to the top of the Season 2 leaderboard with 23 wins. Tough way to earn the throne. 👑
