As the end of the financial year approaches, now is the perfect time to support the future of UTS North Sydney cricket while also taking advantage of a valuable tax deduction.

The Bears are proud to partner with the Australian Sports Foundation (ASF), allowing supporters to make tax-deductible donations directly to our Bears Development Fund supporting both our men's and women's programs.

These programs play a vital role in the continued growth and success of our club. Donations help provide coaching resources, equipment, player development opportunities, recruitment initiatives and the infrastructure required to ensure our teams continue to thrive.

All donations made through the Australian Sports Foundation are fully tax deductible and an official tax receipt is issued immediately upon donation. You can donate at via tinyurl.com/BearsDevFund.

Thank you in advance to everyone who supports us!

Congratulations to Bernadette Robson and Rina H**e, who were selected as vice captains of the NSW Masters div 1 and div 2 squads respectively for the State of Origin series this weekend in Brisbane.

Although results didn’t go to plan, both had strong individual showings. Bernie finished the weekend as the top run-scorer with 129 in three innings, while Rina scored 46 runs and took two wickets.

We’ve dug another match report out of the vault with Sarah Berman documenting a classic win for the Bears, over Mosman in Round 3 of 2022/23, inspired by James Campbell with the ball, and Jimmy Greenslade, James Rew and Robbie Aitken with the bat.

Our final award for the 2025/26 season is the Bevyn White Cricketer of the Year, won by Justin Avendano for his superb 903-run season.

The award was presented by Bevyn White himself, who was Club President for 25 years from 1990 to 2015, and who recounted tipping Justin for great things since before he first joined the club in 2012.

Justin is the first recipient of a new perpetual trophy which lists all the winners since the award came to be named after Bevyn in 2018/19, including Justin himself in 2021/22.

Congratulations, Justin!
