👉 Meet Danyella, a happy member of my Online Program for 1 year and 2 months now. She is a 36-year-old journalist and mum of 6-year-old boy.

When Dany came to me, she told me she didn’t like to exercise and, therefore, had never persisted in any physical activity.

She had tried regular gyms, dance classes, swimming and pilates. But she would never make it a consistent habit, often quitting her activities after a few months.

Her mindset was all about “being fit is not for me”. She even told me something that I will never forget: “Vania, I don’t believe in the rush of happy-hormones after exercising. That never happens to me!”.

After giving birth, in 2015, Dany came back to an exercise routine, but her lack of physical conditioning and strength unfortunately led to a knee injury (patellar tendinitis).

When I met her, she wanted to have another try after around 5 years being sedentary, but she was still very insecure because of the injury.

Dany had also a constant lower back pain and told me it was making it hard for her to carry her son.

After assessing her, I found out that her back pain and the weakness of her core were due to an abdominal separation (diastasis recti) she developed during her pregnancy.

I adapted her core exercises according to that and targeted the strengthening of her deep stomach muscles.

After 1 year, the abdominal separation is much better and she is not suffering from lower-back pain anymore!

We also worked to strengthen the muscles around her knee, which helped to treat her patellar tendinitis.

All this beautiful journey started with a free-week trial. Now Danyella is a regular client and a friend. She realised she can have fun while exercising and she totally trust the power of happy-hormones!

This style of workout also means I have been able to workout for the majority of my pregnancy… well into my third trimester!

Unfortunately we are not rid of COVID-19 yet. With the explosion of new cases, NSW premier announced a stay-at-home order for four Sydney areas.

Let’s work together to stop the spread. We can overcome that!

In case you need to go out, remember to stay 1.5 metres apart and practise good hand hygiene, especially after being in public places.

👉 If you are in lockdown and cannot go to the gym, don’t be sad: online training can be a very good option!

👉 That was my weekend combo to celebrate the importance of exercising when it comes to our mental health: Leg day on Saturday and RPM on Sunday!

👉 Life is full of ups and downs. When we are down, sometimes it gets too dark and we just cannot see a way out. I know that because I’ve been there.

👉 I’ve lost count of how many times I thought I wouldn’t be able to handle it. But I did! 💪

👉 With the support of my family and friends, I started to exercise regularly and also to have sessions of counseling.

👉 It’s been a long road, but today I can proudly say I am a survivor. 💚

👉 It might seem impossible to beat anxiety and depression, but it’s not! I did it and I am absolutely sure you can do it as well!

✨Just believe in yourself! ✨

⚠️ If you are struggling with any mental health issue, please read these words carefully. This is something really serious!

👉 Don’t ignore, hide or deny how you feel. Ask for help. And remember: it’s ok not to be ok!🎗
