A massive day of finals football is coming up tomorrow, with four Northies teams taking the field across our juniors and seniors!

First up, our U13 Black take on OVA Victory in their Grand Final at Gipps St GA6, with kick-off at 10:30 AM.

Our Men’s Premier League Reserve Grade take on Moore Creek FC at 12:30 PM on GA5 in their Preliminary Final, with a spot in the Grand Final on the line.

GRAND FINAL FOR OUR WOMEN’S RESERVES! 🐼⚽

Congratulations to our Women’s Reserve Grade side, who are through to the Women’s Division 3 Grand Final!

The girls take on Hillvue Rovers First Team tomorrow at Johnson Field, with kick-off at 1:00 PM.

They’ve worked hard all season and now have the chance to finish it with some silverware.

Get down to Johnson Field tomorrow and get behind the girls as they fight for the grand final win!

RESERVE GRADE MEN’S | PRELIMINARY FINAL 🐼⚽

It’s make or break for our Men’s Reserve Grade season. Win, and they’re into the grand final.

The boys face Moore Creek Mountain Goats this Saturday at Gipps St GA5, with kick-off at 12:30 PM.

We’ll have team news, half-time updates and the full-time score posted as soon as they happen, so stay tuned on Saturday.

Footage from last week’s semi-final against Inverell, along with this week’s game, will be posted on our YouTube channel after the finals series.

WE ARE THROUGH TO THE PRELIMINARY FINAL 🐼⚽

After coming back from 2-0 down, the Reserves powered on and got the job done on penalties against Inverell.

It was a strong start from the boys despite going 2-0 down early. We had the chances, kept our heads down and continued working, with things getting a bit feisty at times.

Chayce Murray got us back into the game late in the first half, poking the ball past the keeper after a one-two with Steve Holland to make it 2-1.

The equaliser came in the second half, with a textbook Jonah Thompson corner finding the head of Ben Todd, who finished well to make it 2-2.

After extra time, it went to penalties.

Inverell scored first, before Jonah Thompson stepped up but saw his well-struck penalty saved. Inverell then hit the post, while Jack Todd calmly put his away.

Inverell scored their next, before Jimmy Wallace converted for Northies. Finlay Gray then came up with a huge save, before Cody Thompson put us ahead.

Inverell converted their next penalty, leaving Dwayne Marshall with the chance to win it.

He buried it.

A massive effort from the boys and a deserved result after fighting back from 2-0 down.

We face Mountain Goats next week in the preliminary final, with a spot in the grand final on the line.
