The bulk of the handle is shaped before the fine work starts.

This is the stage where a block of cane and willow starts to take shape as a handle. Cooper bats are CNC-profiled and hand-finished, so after this, the handle is hand-worked until it feels right for the player holding it.

Handle shape changes how the bat sits in your hands, and how your bottom hand behaves through the shot. It's worth getting right.
