Today is World Drowning Prevention Day.
This World Drowning Prevention Day, communities across the world are uniting to turn the tide on drowning by promoting water safety, sharing lifesaving skills and encouraging simple actions that save lives.
Hereβs how you can take action:
β’ Enrol in swimming lessons
β’ Supervise children at all times around water
β’ Check your pool fence and gate
β’ Avoid alcohol and drugs around water
β’ Wear a lifejacket when on the water
β’ Know the conditions
β’ Learn CPR
β’ Train to become a swim teacher or pool lifeguard
Every small step we individually take can help save lives.
