🎉 500 Classes for Trang! 🎉

Three years ago, Trang joined FIIT Project with a pretty simple goal.

She wanted to get her shoulder stronger.

She'd been dealing with pain and had already made some progress working with an exercise physiologist, but was looking for the next step.

Understandably, she was apprehensive about doing too much with it.

So we started where she was comfortable and gradually built from there.

As her strength improved, the pain decreased.

Her range of motion improved.

Her confidence grew.

And slowly, the list of things she was worried about doing became the list of things she could do again.

Fast forward 500 classes and, if you saw Trang training today, you'd have no idea she'd ever had an issue with her shoulder.

She's lifting weights overhead, doing push-ups pain-free and has even achieved an unassisted pull-up! 💪

But Trang's impact at FIIT Project goes well beyond what she does in class.

She's a busy working professional, mum and wife, but continues to make the gym a priority because she knows it makes her a better mum and a better person to be around.

She's one of the first names down whenever we announce a social event and, when costumes are involved, you can guarantee she's going all in. 😂 She's taken home her fair share of Best Dressed prizes over the years.

And earlier this year, Trang added another title to the collection: championship-winning captain, leading her team through our four-week internal competition with an extremely well-organised team effort.

500 classes represents a lot more than getting fitter.

It's going from being apprehensive about using your shoulder to doing pull-ups.

It's making time for yourself when life is busy.

It's friendships, social events, ridiculous costumes and being part of a community.

Congratulations on 500 classes, Trang.

We're incredibly grateful for everything you bring to FIIT Project and can't wait to see what the next 500 bring. 💙

🎉 1000 CLASSES FOR JUSTIN! 🎉

One thousand classes.

Take a moment to think about what that really means.

One thousand early mornings.

One thousand decisions to show up.

One thousand opportunities to become a little fitter, a little stronger, and a little healthier.

Justin has been part of the FIIT Project family for more than 10 years, making him one of our longest-standing members.

What makes this milestone even more impressive is that for around eight of those years, Justin worked FIFO and was only in Adelaide for two weeks out of every four.

Instead of using that as an excuse, he made the most of every week he was home, fitting in as many classes as he could before heading back to work.

These days, Justin is working in Adelaide full-time. Shift work still means his schedule changes regularly, but one thing hasn't changed.

He continues to prioritise his health and fitness.

If you've ever met Justin, you'll know he represents everything we hope FIIT Project can be.

He's one of the first people to introduce himself to a new member, make them feel welcome, and have a genuine conversation with them.

He's a regular at our social events, always up for a laugh, and has built some incredible friendships through the gym.

Over the past decade, Justin has achieved so much.

He's competed in CrossFit competitions.

Completed a half marathon.

Taken on True Grit.

And later this year he'll tackle his first HYROX Doubles event alongside a close mate he met right here at FIIT Project.

That's what 1000 classes is really about.

Yes, it's an incredible fitness milestone.

But it's also about the friendships you've built, the memories you've created, and the person you've become along the way.

Justin, thank you for being such an important part of FIIT Project over the past decade.

Your positivity, consistency, and willingness to make everyone feel welcome have helped shape the community we have today.

Congratulations on an incredible 1000 classes. Here's to the next thousand! 💙

What's the best diet?

The one you'll still be following six months from now.

Too many people quit because they're trying to be perfect.

Tracking every calorie.

Cutting out all the foods they enjoy.

Trying to follow someone else's plan.

Instead, find an approach that fits your lifestyle.

For some people that's tracking calories.

For others it's writing meals in a notebook, taking a photo of their food, or simply focusing on eating more protein.

The method matters far less than your ability to stick with it.

Consistency beats perfection every time.

Swipe through for some simple ideas to help you find an approach that works for you.

There are plenty of places you can go to exercise.

What keeps people coming back is the people they do it with.

When Aaron finished playing footy, one of the things he missed most wasn’t just the game.

It was the community.

The mates.

The laughs.

The feeling of being part of something.

One line from his review stood out to us:

“Although I no longer have my footy community, I can confidently say that the community at FIIT Project has been the best I’ve experienced.”

That’s what we hope every member finds here.

A place where you’ll train hard, celebrate wins together, encourage each other through the tough sessions… and occasionally convince your mates to jump into an ice bath with you. 🥶😂

Fitness is important.

But the friendships you build along the way are often the reason you keep coming back.

Thanks for the kind words, Aaron. We’re glad FIIT Project has become your second sporting family. 💙

🎉 Milestone Thursday 🎉

Congratulations to Aaron on reaching an incredible 700 classes! 👏

Almost four and a half years ago, Aaron and his family moved from Brisbane to Adelaide for work.

One of the first things he wanted to do was find a gym that could replace the routine he'd built back home.

Thankfully for us, that search led him to FIIT Project.

It didn't take long before Aaron became a regular at the 6:00am classes, and over the years he's continued to improve every aspect of his fitness. He's become stronger, fitter, developed new skills, and built the kind of consistency that only comes from showing up week after week.

What makes Aaron's story even more special is that he didn't keep FIIT Project to himself.

After having such a positive experience, he encouraged his wife, Jess, to give strength training a go.

She started with Personal Training to build confidence and learn the basics before progressing into group classes.

Now it's a regular sight to see Aaron and Jess training together at 6:00am, making time for themselves before the day begins.

With four active kids, life is busy.

But they understand that prioritising their own health helps them be better parents, better role models, and have the energy to keep up with family life.

Along the way, Aaron has also built some great friendships, with plenty of coffees, dinners, and drinks shared with other members outside the gym.

That's what 700 classes really represents.

Not just fitness.

A routine.

A community.

Friendships.

And a healthier lifestyle for the whole family.

Congratulations, Aaron. Thank you for choosing FIIT Project all those years ago, and thank you for encouraging Jess to start her own journey with us too. We're proud to have you both as part of our community. 💙

P.S. If you're wondering why there's another member standing next to Aaron with a "CENSORED" sign over their milestone board... you'll have to wait until next week. Trust us, it's an even bigger milestone worth celebrating! 😉

Most diets don’t fail because they’re “bad.”

They fail because they’re too hard to keep doing.

The best nutrition plan is the one that fits your lifestyle, not someone else’s.

If tracking every calorie helps you, great.

If writing your meals down or simply taking a photo keeps you consistent, that’s great too.

The goal isn’t perfection.

The goal is finding habits you can still see yourself doing months from now.

If you’ve ever fallen off a diet, this week’s blog is for you.

What’s one nutrition habit you’ve managed to stick with?

17/08/2026

How many diets have you started... only to stop a few weeks later?

Maybe the problem wasn't you.

Maybe the plan just didn't fit your life.

I had a great conversation with one of our members this week about our 8-week Body Composition Challenge. We ended up talking about something that I think is far more important than calories or meal plans.

The best nutrition plan is the one you'll actually stick to.

For some people, that means tracking every meal.

For others, it's simply eating more protein, writing meals in a notebook, or taking a photo of what they eat.

There isn't one "right" way.

The goal isn't to be perfect.

The goal is to build habits you can still see yourself doing six months from now.

I've written a new blog about why consistency beats perfection, different ways to track your food, and how to find an approach that works for you.

What's one nutrition habit that's actually been sustainable for you?

"I exercise all the time... why am I still not losing weight?"

If you've ever asked yourself that question, you're definitely not alone.

The truth is, exercise is only one piece of the puzzle.

Your nutrition, daily movement, sleep, stress and recovery all play a huge role in your results.

The good news?

You probably don't need to train harder.

You just need to focus on the things that make the biggest difference.

Swipe through to learn some of the most common reasons people struggle to lose weight, even when they're exercising consistently.

If this helped, save it for later and share it with someone who's been working hard but feeling frustrated with their progress.

Read our full blog via the link in our bio for a deeper dive into each point.
