It's with great disappointment that we've made the difficult decision to cancel this weekend's event.

Persistent rain throughout the week, along with more forecast, has left us unable to complete the necessary track preparation.

This one is particularly disappointing, as we were really looking forward to bringing the bikes back. We look forward to welcoming you back for the NSW Solo Championship on 5 December.

We're incredibly grateful for the hard work that's already gone into preparing for this event and sincerely thank our competitors and spectators for your patience and understanding.

We look forward to seeing you all back at Western Sydney Speedway soon!

IT'S RACE DAY @ THE BOWL!!!

The wait is finally over, today we go motorcycle racing at the Short Track Arena!

Here is everything you need to know to make sure your trip to The Bowl is an enjoyable one.

What time does it start?
Competitor gates open, 1.00pm
Spectator gates open, 3.00pm

Practice from 3.30pm
Racing from 5.30pm

What time will it finish?
We will aim to have all events finished by around 8.30pm, however this can change and is only a rough guide.

How much are tickets?
ALL tickets are available at the gate.
Adults $20
Students 10-16 $10
Kids under 10 FREE

Do you have EFTPOS?
Yes EFTPOS is available, however internet can be patchy so cash is preferred if possible.

Is it loud?
YES! Motorcycle racing is loud and up close, so if you have kids who are sensitive to loud noise we suggest packing some hearing protection to keep them comfortable.

Can dirt come over the fence?
Yep! It's not uncommon for a little bit of dirt to find its way over the fence during racing. It's never a big problem, but an old pair of glasses in your bag isn't a bad idea.

What should we pack?
We recommend camping chairs, blankets or tarps to sit on and warm clothes for when the sun goes down.

Please wear appropriate clothing and footwear around the venue and remember to be sun safe during the afternoon.

Will there be food and coffee available?
Absolutely!
Lou Lou’s snack shack will be trackside serving up the best Pluto Pups in the country, along with Besom Mobile Cafe taking care of all your coffee requirements.

Can we pack our own food?
Yes, this is perfectly fine, but please try to support our food vendors where possible. These guys support us by showing up to our events, win, lose or draw.

Is BYO allowed?
Yes BYO is allowed, however NO GLASS is to be brought into the venue. Anyone caught with glass will be asked to leave without warning.

Please also keep in mind this is a family friendly venue, so please drink responsibly.

Will there be a live stream?
The team from What's On Speedway TV will be trackside to capture all the action.

Yes, we have disabled parking and restroom facilities.
Unfortunately disabled parking is limited and will be available on a first come, first served basis.

We've been thinking about how we can give short track Speedway a genuine home, while also creating an amazing opportunity for our local riders.

And we reckon we've come up with something pretty cool.

We've teamed up with the team from Industry Racing in California to launch a 3 round "Slide to the States" series for 500cc Solos at the Short Track Arena, with the series winner heading to the USA to race the Connor Penhall Memorial, the most prestigious event on the Industry Speedway calendar!!!

SLIDE TO THE STATES - SERIES DATES
Round 1: January 16, 2027
Round 2: March 6, 2027
Round 3: April 10, 2027

It's simple, win the series and you're going to be at the starting tapes of the 2027 Connor Penhall Memorial Cup.

Return airfares, accommodation and licence fees are covered, plus there'll be a race bike waiting for you in California.

Basically, win the series, pack your bags and head to the airport!

Short track Speedway racing is alive and well on the West Coast of the USA, with great competitor numbers, great crowds and some awesome racing.
We're excited to bring that style of Speedway to The Bowl, and even more excited that it gives one of our local riders the chance to shine on the international stage.

This makes our first ever motorcycle meeting this Saturday night a pretty good time to come and try the Short Track Arena for yourself.

If you were unsure before, maybe this changes things.

Come and be part of history, have some fun and, importantly, get some valuable laps in before our Slide to the States series gets underway.

We're getting close to our first ever motorcycle race event at The Bowl, with racing under lights on the Short Track Arena on Saturday September 19.

We've got a great mix of Speedway and Dirt Track classes on offer for this history making event including,

Gday Aussie Speedway World.

An update on the summer ahead for DWSP & Western Sydney Speedway

A new working relationship has been established between DWSP & WSS. Grateful for their positivity and commitment towards Speedway bikes, we are now in full event planning mode which is exciting.

We have 4 scheduled events lined up starting with
QLD vs NSW - October 17th
NSW Solo Tiitle - December 5th
Australian Solo championship Round 4 (Final round)- January 9th
Darcy Ward Invitational - February 6th

Looking forward to bringing these events to WSS.
