Mark Hartnett Pro Tennis Academy is once again proud to be part of Australia's Biggest Morning Tea, helping the Cancer Council raise vital funds for people impacted by cancer.

Tennis clubs are busy places, with people visiting at different times throughout the day. Rather than hosting one single event, we hope every part of the club can come together in their own way.

Whether it's over a hit of tennis, a cup of tea, a coffee, a beer or even a glass of wine, we encourage everyone to take a moment to connect, support one another and help raise funds for this wonderful initiative.

A huge thank you to everyone in the local community who signed the petition to help save Mitcham Tennis Club as part of the Walker Park redevelopment.

The petition, containing more than 2,300 signatures, was presented to Whitehorse City Council, recommending that Council reconsider the draft Walker Park plan to include Mitcham Tennis Club. The motion was unanimously accepted.

Councillor Prue Cutts noted it was one of the highest supported petitions presented during her time as a councillor, highlighting the strength of community backing for a club with around 140 members.

There is still a long journey ahead before the final outcome is known, but this support sends a clear message that Mitcham Tennis Club matters to the community.

We are a growing club and an important local asset. Thank you for standing with us and supporting the future of local tennis.

Huge congratulations to our Winter 2025 Saturday Open Sets Section 7 Mixed team, who took out the premiership in the open-age section and have now qualified for the 2026 Tennis Victoria League Championships.

They’ll be competing against teams from across Victoria at a similar level, with the chance to be crowned State Champions.
