This year’s theme is “Once a Fencer, Always a Fencer” and we want to see your take on it.

Got a childhood fencing pic? A fencing family? A comeback story? A coach who changed everything? Or a completely creative interpretation of the theme? We want to see it.

In Term 4 our Artistic Fencing class is moving to Saturdays, 12pm-1:30pm.
Join us in the Nunawading Community Hub to learn the techniques of stage swordplay and put together a fight scene.

We don't want to scare anyone, but it's only two more weeks until school holidays!

This weekend is the Joseph D'Onofrio Challenge - a great competition for U8/U10/U12/U14.

Joseph D’Onofrio Challenge 2026 – FencingVictoria.org.au Named for Maestro Joseph D’Onofrio, the founder of Fioretto Fencing Club, the Joseph D’Onofrio Challenge is an all-weapon, weekend long competition, for fencers in age categories U8, U10, U12, and U14.

Busy weekend for us.
16 for U17 Sabre last night, so we ran girls and boys events.
Today we have men’s and women’s epee, 14 in the Open Sabre, and another 6 in the youth Sabre. 😱

Congratulations to all our competitors in the U9&U13 on Sunday!

A huge event that stretched FV resources to the limit, it was a long afternoon and late finish for our young competitors. You all showed admirable patience and resilience. We are super proud of you all.

Our next 2nd hand fencing equipment Market Day will on July 25th.

Monash Uni are running an Open Sabre competition on the Sunday, 19th of July. 2:30pm.

$10 Entry, Ages 13+.
