The cricket season for our juniors wrapped up on Tuesday night with the RDCA Junior Presentation Night. Well done to our award winners: Pranay Sharma (12-1 batting), Alden Basil Abraham (12-6 batting), Ved Saligrama (14-1 bowling), Advik Tyagi (14-6 batting) & Graham McCallum (Jeff Luscombe Volunteer Award). Our 14-6 team coached by Suchin Venkataram also proudly collected their premiership flag. Well done to you all, go Tigers !

The Mitcham Cricket Club is very pleased to announce the signing of Matt King, brother of David, for Season 2026/2027.

With over 20 years of cricket experience playing for Clubs including Ringwood (14 Seasons), Richmond, Wantirna South and most recently as Captain / Coach at South Croydon, Matt brings a wealth of experience and knowledge to Mitcham.

Matt played 57 matches of Premier cricket making 3 x 50s and 2 centuries.

In the Lindsay Trollope Shield in the Ringwood District Cricket Association his record is:
- 74 matches
- 2,773 runs @ 41.00
- 11 x 50s
- 6 x 100s

He suffered a bad hamstring injury which limited his appearances last season but he returned in the back half of the year, and in his last 4 innings he made 399 runs (54,100,89&156) @ 99.75 which saw him awarded the competition batting average, and last night was bestowed the honour of “Captain” of the RDCA “Team of the Year” in Season 2025/2026.

We welcome Matt joining his brother at Tigerland in Season 2026/2027.

Women’s Cricket Coach Wanted | 2026/27 Season

Mitcham Cricket Club is looking for a passionate Senior Women’s Coach (playing or non-playing) to lead our growing program.

After a strong debut season in the Eastern Girls and Women’s Cricket competition, narrowly missing finals, we’re aiming to field 2 senior teams this season, backed by a developing junior girls pathway.

Based at Walker Park with excellent facilities
Full support from committee & coaching group
Remuneration negotiable


We’re looking for someone who:

Has strong leadership & communication skills
Can run engaging trainings & support player development
Holds (or is willing to obtain) Level 1 accreditation
Has a WWCC
