DO WE HAVE SA’S BEST JUNIOR SPORTS COACH IN BMX?

The Advertiser is searching for SA’s Best Junior Sports Coach for 2026, and we’d love to see our BMX coaches recognised.

Our sport relies heavily on coaches who give their time week after week — helping young riders learn new skills, build confidence, improve their race craft and keep progressing on the track.

From the newest riders learning the basics through to experienced racers chasing their next goal, good coaches play a huge part in every rider’s BMX journey.

If there’s a coach within our BMX community who has made a difference to your child, your family or our riders, this is a great opportunity to put their name forward.

Nominations close Wednesday 16 September.

Let’s make sure the people putting in the hours for junior BMX get the recognition they deserve.

READY TO TRY SOMETHING NEW?

If you’ve been enjoying racing at your home club, why not make the next step and give a State Series round a go?

Entries for the next round at Gawler BMX Club close in ONE WEEK, and we’d especially love to see some of our newer riders giving it a try.

You don’t need to be one of the fastest riders at the club. You don’t need years of racing experience. State Series racing is simply an opportunity to visit another track, line up with some different riders and experience a bigger race meeting.

For our newer families, it can seem like a big jump from a clubby but once you’ve done your first one, you’ll know exactly what to expect next time.

And you certainly won’t be going alone. There’ll be plenty of familiar faces from our clubs there racing, helping and cheering you on.

If you can race a clubby, you can have a go at a State Series round.

📍 Next round: Gawler, Sun 23rd August
📅 Entries: https://entryboss.cc/races/28853

Have a chat to us at the track if you’re unsure about entering, classes or what happens on race day. We’d love to help more of our newer riders experience their first State Series event.
