This will significantly impact the number of courts available for social tennis tonight.

The OPTC Annual General Meeting for 2026 will be held at the Club on Monday 14th of September at 7:30pm.

We encourage all members to attend as we celebrate the successes of the past year through flag presentations, recognition of significant contribution to our Club and look towards plans for the future.

All Committee roles are open for election and we welcome any new faces that are keen to share ideas and be involved in ongoing growth and improvement in our Club.

Refreshments will be provided at the conclusion of the meeting.

Mens:
Congratulations to our B Special 3 team (pictured) on winning their way through to a Grand Final last night. Our C Grade 4 team also won a hard fought semi to make their way into a Grand Final next week! Bad luck to our B Special 2 team who sadly fell by 1 game last night.

Mixed:
Commiserations to our B Grade 1 team who unfortunately bowed out in their semi final on Wednesday. Our B Reserve 3. C Special 1 & C Special 2 were all washed out & will continue their matches next week.

Ladies
Sadly our two ladies team in semi final action; B Special 2 & C Special 1 both fell agonizingly short in their matches.

Well done to all teams representing us in finals & best of luck to anyone playing next week!

Oak Park Tennis Club express our condolences to the Phelan and Brebner families on the recent passing of John Phelan - Life Member and Club President from 1972 - 1977.

As one of the first members of our Club, John played an integral role in establishing the spirit and community of our Club from its earliest days, including taking out the coveted title of Club Champion in 1968.

John shared his passion for the game with three generations of family including his son, Simon and nephew, David who continue the family tradition today playing together in our Men’s B Grade 2 team.

John will always hold a special place in the history of our Club. Our thoughts are with his family at this difficult time 🤍

An incredible season for our juniors came to an end today with 3 teams representing us in Grand Finals!

C Reserve 3
Capped off a dominant undefeated season with a tight 2 game win against a determined Coburg team to win back to back premierships.
Congratulations to Oscar, Jayden, Andy, Harris, Zane & Nayan!

D Special 3
After suffering heartbreak in the Grand Final last season the team avenged that loss with a 7 game victory over Glencairn to complete an undefeated season & claim their first premiership.
Congratulations to Kieran, Curtis, Alfie, Mason, Rishi & Saanvi!

D Grade 4
Not quite the dream season, but what a run from our youngest team in their first season of competition! Sadly falling to a very strong Keilor East team this morning. We have no doubts these young stars will be back in another Grand Final in the future!
Congratulations to Anaira, Hamish, Jimmy, Nikki, Pippa & Archie!

As a club, we couldn’t be prouder of the success & development of our juniors not only this season, but over the past 12 months. It is a testament to the kids efforts at training, on a Friday night & Saturday morning, as well as the efforts of all the parents & volunteers who make this all possible.

First season of tennis & into a Grand Final!

After a crazy couple of weeks which saw two straight Saturdays being washed out; our D Grade 4 team won their way through to a Grand Final this morning with a thrilling 3 game win over a strong opposition in Strathmore.

They now join our C Reserve 3 & D Special 3 teams in the decider next Saturday.
