🌧️ Rain, rain, go away...

Unfortunately, the weather has won this round, and Junior Fast Fives is cancelled this Sunday due to the forecast conditions.

Player safety and enjoyment are our priority, and with no indoor pool space available, we've made the difficult decision to cancel this week's session.

We hope the sun makes a return next weekend and can't wait to see everyone back in action then! ☀️🤽‍♀️🤽‍♂️

DAY 4 RECAP — FINAL DAY
2026 13&U NATIONAL DEVELOPMENT CARNIVAL

South Australia closed out the 2026 National Development Carnival with two determined performances, finishing the week on a strong and connected note.

The SA Boys took on VIC Navy in their final matchup, putting together a solid effort and showing clear growth from earlier rounds. They created good attacking moments and held firm defensively in long stretches, finishing with a 6–12 result to close out their carnival campaign.

The SA Girls wrapped up their week with a tight contest against Tasmania Green, battling all the way to a 4–4 draw. It was a composed, disciplined performance — strong defensive reads, confident ball movement, and a resilient finish that earned them a well‑deserved point on the final day.

Across four days of competition, both squads showed heart, improvement, and genuine development. A big week of learning, connection, and experience for our SA juniors.

DAY 3 RECAP — 2026 13&U NATIONAL DEVELOPMENT CARNIVAL

South Australia closed out Day 3 with a mix of strong wins, tough battles, and plenty of heart as both squads continued to build through the carnival.

The SA Boys opened the morning with their best performance of the tournament so far, powering to an 11–3 win over Tasmania White behind confident attacking play and tight defensive pressure. They carried that momentum into a competitive matchup with the QLD Orcas, finishing 6–15, before wrapping their day against a sharp NSW Blues outfit, going down 3–14. Across all three games, the boys showed improved ball movement, stronger communication, and great resilience.

The SA Girls delivered a dominant start to their day, producing an outstanding 18–0 shutout against Tasmania White — a complete performance featuring relentless defence and composed finishing. They continued into two challenging contests, falling 3–18 to the QLD Dolphins and 2–13 to the QLD Crocs, but maintained strong effort and connection throughout a demanding afternoon schedule.

A day of highs, hard lessons, and continued growth for both squads as SA pushes through the middle of the carnival.

On to Day 4 — SA keeps fighting, keeps learning, keeps building 🔥

DAY 2 RECAP — 2026 13&U NATIONAL DEVELOPMENT CARNIVAL

Day 2 in Hobart brought a full slate of games for our SA squads, with both teams digging deep through a tough schedule and finishing the day with a strong, hard‑earned draw.

The SA Boys opened the morning against Tasmania Green, battling through a physical contest but going down 4–9. They continued into a challenging matchup with the NSW Waratahs, falling 4–20, and wrapped their day against a sharp NSW Opals outfit, finishing 3–21. Despite the results, the boys showed great resilience, continued effort, and strong moments of individual growth across all three games.

The SA Girls faced a similarly demanding day, starting with a tough matchup against the QLD Orcas, going down 2–14. They followed with a competitive showing against the NSW Waratahs, finishing 3–11, before closing out the afternoon with their best performance of the carnival so far — a 5–5 draw with VIC White. The girls lifted their defensive intensity, connected well in transition, and held their composure to secure a well‑deserved point.

A challenging day on the scoreboard, but a valuable one for development, learning, and team connection. Both squads continue to show heart, effort, and improvement with every game.

On to Day 3 — SA keeps building 🔥

DAY 1 RECAP — 2026 13&U NATIONAL DEVELOPMENT CARNIVAL

South Australia kicked off the 2026 National Development Carnival with a full day of learning, effort, and standout moments across both our Girls and Boys squads in Hobart.

The SA Girls opened their campaign with two tough matchups against strong NSW sides. They battled hard in their first game, falling 5–12 to the NSW Blues, showing great patches of ball movement and defensive pressure. Their second match was a defensive grind against the NSW Opals, ending 0–6, with SA holding firm and keeping the Opals to low scoring throughout. The girls closed out the day with a Round 3 bye and will look to build on their defensive resilience heading into Day 2.

The SA Boys began with a Round 1 bye before stepping into a rare defensive standoff, drawing 0–0 with the QLD Dolphins in Round 2. They followed it up with a high‑energy shootout against the NSW Wombats, claiming a 13–11 win behind strong attacking plays and clutch moments in the final quarter.

A gritty start from both squads, plenty of positives, and even more to come as SA settles into the rhythm of the carnival.

On to Day 2 — let’s keep building, SA 🔥
