BULLYING NO WAY WEEK 💙❤️

From 17–21 August, WGC recognised Bullying No Way Week 2026, embracing this year’s theme, ‘Small Acts, Big Impact’. 🌟

As part of the week, our Child Safe Champions wrote and exchanged cards with their fellow squad gymnasts, sharing a simple but important reminder – you always have a friend here at WGC. 💙

Whether it’s saying hello to someone sitting alone, including someone who may be feeling left out, offering a few words of encouragement or simply asking, “Are you okay?”, even the smallest acts of kindness and inclusion can make a big difference.

At WGC, we want everyone to feel safe, included, respected and supported, and Bullying No Way Week is an important reminder that we can all play a part in creating that environment.

Small acts really can have a big impact. ❤️

Another fantastic weekend on the competition floor for Waverley, with our Level 3, 4, 7, 8, 9 and 10 gymnasts taking on the 2026 Eclipse Invitational on 22-23 August! ❤️💙

Across the weekend, the girls showcased continued improvements, growing confidence and plenty of hard work, from strong team performances in our earlier levels to exciting upgrades and new skills from our senior gymnasts. 🌟

There was plenty to celebrate in the results too, with podium finishes across every level, including individual apparatus and All-Around titles, as well as some fantastic team results! 🥇🥈🥉

We’re incredibly proud of the way our gymnasts continue to embrace every competition as an opportunity to learn, improve and confidently showcase their progress. Congratulations to all of our gymnasts and coaches on a fantastic Eclipse Invitational! 👏

What a weekend at the 2026 Waverley NovoActive Classic: 14th - 16th August! ❤️💙

Across three action-packed days of competition, our WGC gymnasts delivered confident performances, new skills, personal improvements and some fantastic results – all while competing on home ground! 🌟

We’re incredibly proud of every gymnast who took to the competition floor, and so grateful to our coaches, committee and volunteers who helped make the event such a success. A special thank you to Bec Johnson for her incredible work organising and coordinating another fantastic Waverley Classic! 👏

Our rock-climbing wall is always a fun challenge for our Junior Gymnasts!

As little climbers work their way up the wall, they're building strength, coordination and body awareness while learning to plan their next move and growing in confidence with every step.

Sometimes the best part is simply reaching a little higher than last time! 💪

🌟 GCA 40 Under 40 | Shae Christian

We’re incredibly proud to celebrate WGC Educational Manager Shae Christian, who has been named among Gymnastics Clubs Australia’s Top 2026 40 Under 40 Industry Leaders!

The GCA 40 Under 40 program recognises leaders making a significant contribution to their clubs and the wider gymnastics industry – and Shae’s impact across Waverley is certainly something worth celebrating.

Leading and mentoring a team of more than 50 coaches across our two campuses, Shae oversees the development of more than 2,000 Educational gymnasts and is continually working to strengthen the quality, consistency and experience of our programs.

From refining our curriculum and lesson plans, to leading our annual Gym for All event for more than 700 participants and championing inclusive gymnastics opportunities for children of all abilities, Shae’s leadership reaches across so many areas of our WGC community.

Her commitment to developing our coaches, strengthening our programs and creating meaningful opportunities for every gymnast is an important part of what makes Waverley what it is today.

A very well-deserved recognition – congratulations, Shae! 👏💙

Brave on the beam!

Every step along the beam is an opportunity to build balance, concentration and confidence.

Whether our Junior Gymnasts are walking forwards, sideways or carefully stepping over an obstacle, they are learning to control their bodies and trust what they can do. 🌟💙❤️
