Motorsports Tasmania manages the two predominant raceways in Tasmania Symmons Plains Raceway is located on Midland Highway some 30km south of Launceston.

Motorsports Tasmania Pty Ltd was established in October 2000 to take control of the two circuit racing venues in the state by Purchasing Baskerville Raceway, near Hobart and Symmons Plains Raceway. The track is known for several interesting features including its very long back straight with a kink, its extremely tight hairpin bend at the end of the front straight and the unusual placement of the original start/finish line and grid that was on a curve. Baskerville Raceway is located in Hobart’s northern suburb of Old Beach and is set in a natural amphitheatre with spectators able to sit in their cars and view the entire circuit. While we're thanking our dedicated contractors and volenteers, we also need to give a big shout out to our electrician, Bruce Banks, for the fantastic work he has and is doing at Bulk Nutrients Baskerville Raceway.

Bruce has rewired the starting lights for our new Liverpool Engineering Works Starter's box, installed additional starting lights on the bridge, and upgraded Marshall Post 9 with new lights, complete with solar power and batteries.

And just in time for the Historics, we'll also have brand new Stop/Go lights in pit lane.

A big thank you to Bruce for his hard work and commitment to continually improve our facilities over many years. NOW HOW FANCY IS THAT!

A few weeks ago we put up a photo of our brilliant new Starter's box at Bulk Nutrients Baskerville Raceway.
Well I'm pleased to say that Sharmane and Brett Mansfield from Liverpool Engineering Works have decided to sponsor the refurbishment of this great asset for all that use this historic circuit.

Liverpool Engineering Works have continued to support Baskerville over many years with not only their quality Engineering work, but both Sharmane and Brett continue to volenteer as officials trackside as often as they can.

We cannot express our gratitude enough for the many businesses that support both our circuits in a climate that small businesses are finding it tough, so if you can support any of our sponsors, please do, as it benefits all of our circuit users.

We would like to congratulate the team from Norwell Motorplex on the professional delivery of the GM brand experience over the past couple of days at Bulk Nutrients Baskerville Raceway.

It was great to see the new Corvette, Silverado and Denali put through their paces, both on and off the road, showcasing the capability and performance of these impressive vehicles.

Thank you to Carina, Paul and the Norwell team for choosing Bulk Nutrients Baskerville Raceway to host the Tassie experience and we look forward to welcoming you back again in the future.

The Hobart Sporting Car Club will be holding private practice at Buckby Motors Symmons Plains Raceway on Saturday 1st August from 9am till 4pm, with Gates open at 7.30am.
This is open to all Motorsport Australia licence holders with affiliated car club memberships.
