🏊‍♀️ What's On This Week at the ARC

📅 School swimming lessons continue this week, there will be closures to the 15m LTS pool in Monday and Tuesday between 9.30am-11am.

📅 Thursday 17th - full facility closure due to school swimming carnival and school swimming lessons between 9.30am-12.30pm.
15m LTS pool available from 12.30pm
25m & 50m pools available from 2pm.

📅 Friday 18th - athletics facility fully booked from 8am-2pm for school athletics carnival.

📌 Reminder - Saturday mornings the 15m LTS pool is closed to the public from 8am-12pm whilst our swimming lessons are taking place.

Are you looking for a rewarding role where you can make a difference, work outdoors, and help keep our community safe around water?

We're currently recruiting across all departments at:
🏊 Mackay Aquatic Recreation Complex
🏊 Pioneer Swim Centre
🏊 Bluewater Lagoon Mackay

We're looking for:
✅ Senior Lifeguards (18+ or finishing Year 12 this year)
✅ Customer Service Staff
✅ Qualified Swim Instructors

All team members must hold, or be willing to obtain:
✔️ First Aid & CPR
✔️ Working With Children Check (Blue Card)

💦 Interested in becoming a Lifeguard? We can help! We have a Pool Lifeguard Course coming up at the end of the month to help you gain your qualification.

SMART GLASSES AT PUBLIC SWIMMING FACILITIES

With the rising interest and availability of smart glasses, which allows recording of people without their knowledge or consent, council is reminding the community about the conditions of entry to public swimming facilities.

There are conditions of entry at the Bluewater Lagoon, Pioneer Pool, Memorial Pool and the MARC.

Council will continue to work with venue operators Belgravia Leisure and DMR Leisure - Mackay Memorial Swimming Centre to ensure a safe environment for all patrons, while noting that these devices can be fitted with prescription lenses.
