ASSIST ALL HOOPS
COMMENCING THIS WEEK
SATURDAY @ MINTO

Our Assist All Hoops Program will commence this Saturday.

The Assist All Hoops program is designed for participants with an intellectual impairment and neurodiversity! Learn key basketball fundamentals, develop confidence, and transition into game-based learning in a fun, safe, and inclusive environment.

The All-Abilities session is ONLY for participants who have difficulty participating in mainstream sessions due to a learning disability. As you progress, you may have the opportunity to play modified games and advance to higher skill levels.

The program will be conducted Saturday's at Minto Indoor Sports Centre commencing 8 August.

There will be a limited number of participants due to our aim to work in small groups and cater appropriately to age and needs.

LEAD COACH
Our Lead Coach for the program will be Special Education Teacher and basketball coach, Alexandra Cox.

SMALL CLASS SIZES
The sessions will cater for small groups. We are aiming at 1 coach to 6 players. This may vary depending on participant numbers & needs.

AGE GROUPS/TIMES:
11.00 - 11.45am: 6 - 10 years of age
11.45 - 12.30pm: 11 - 17 years of age

The Basketball Institute & South West Sydney Roar is excited to announce the line-up of coaches for our Prep 4 Rep Program that commences this week.

The program will cater for boys and girls aged 9-18 years of age and will prepare player's for future rep trials. The program will run for 8-weeks and will provide exposure to a variety of coaches.

In addition to the basketball training program we are also offering an optional strength and conditioning program.

OUR COACHES:
We are proud to announce the involvement of three outstanding coaches with high level playing and coaching experience.

ANDRE WOLFORD - a high-energy guard, Andre brings collegiate NCAA Division 1 experience and professional experience from Australia, Kosovo, and Ireland. Most recently he played NBL1 for the Bankstown Bruins and has extensive junior coaching experience.

MIRKO DJERIC - played 171 NBL games across three NBL clubs – Illawarra, Townsville and Cairns. Mirko has extensive international experience having played professionally in Serbia and represented Australia at junior World Championship level.

JOHN HENNESSY - a veteran of the Senior Leagues and the NBL, John brings over a decade of coaching experience at an elite level including multiple NSW State teams, Waratah League, and as an assistant coach with the Sydney Kings. As a player John represented NSW and played in the NBL.

JUNIOR SCHOOL HOLIDAY BASKETBALL CAMPS
Get ready for our fantastic School Holidays Camp that will be presented by The Basketball Institute at Minto Indoor Sports Centre. Oran Park High School and Eagle Vale High School. There are limited positions available.

DETAILS:
Suitable for boys & girls aged 6-16 years. Children split into age and experience groups. Plenty of skill development opportunity & fun games. In addition there will be plenty of game play.

Dates:
Thursday 9 July (8-16yrs) @ Eagle Vale High School
Monday 13 July (6-16yrs) @ Oran Park High School
Friday 17 July (6-16yrs) @ Minto Indoor Sports Centre

Time: All Camps are 9.30am - 12.00pm

Price:
The price for these three JUNIOR BASKETBALL CAMPS (mixed age and gender) is just $45 per day.

GIRLS ONLY CAMP WITH WNBL CHAMPION
Oran Park - Wednesday 8 July

WNBL Championship winning player Piper Anderson will be the host coach during the July School Holidays at Oran Park for a GIRLS ONLY BASKETBALL CAMP.

Piper has a distinguished junior and senior basketball career. Having played for NSW through her juniors, Piper has progressed to the WNBL having previously played fpr the Sydney Flames before moving to Townsville last season to play for the Championship winning Townsville Fire.

Piper has a wealth of experience as a junior girls coach and is a wonderful role model.

DETAILS:
Catering for 7 to 17 year old girls. The camp will split into a Rookie and Performance group to cater for various age and experience levels.

Time: 9.00am - 12.00pm
Venue: Oran Park High School

SCHOOL HOLIDAY 3 ON 3 COMPETITION
We will be hosting a 3x3 competition in the July school holidays.
To enter a team, you are required to have a minimum of 4 players and a maximum of 5 players. All teams must sign up online and pay the team fee of $100 to be accepted into the competition. All teams must have registered online before close of business, Friday 10th of July.

The age groups for the competitions are as follows:
• Under 12 Boys — Born 2015 & 2016
• Under 14 Boys — Born 2014 & 2013
• Under 16 Boys — Born 2012 & 2011
• Under 18 Boys — Born 2010 & 2009
• Under 14 Girls — Born 2014 & 2013
• Under 16 Girls — Born 2012 & 2011

For an age group to go ahead, a minimum of 4 teams is to have registered for the competition. All teams will play a minimum of 4 games throughout the day. The format of the competition will be determined by the number of teams across all age groups.
