1000 Emu Racing

Last weekend we had the home track and in true Orange style the weather turned it on and the teams hit the track chasing the christmas ham! Heat 1 on wets, real wets, heat 2 on slicks but ify and the final in the dry 😅 all heats done on bloody cold!!!
Heat 1 was a tough one with lots of carnage and mud running but Bobby managed to cross the line in 3rd
Heat 2 Just as the slicks were put on and the karts were put on the grid the sky’s opened up and it threatened with the thoughts that we should have stuck to wets but it held out and after a shocker off the start Bobby drove from the back of the pack back up to 2nd!
Final - It was an interesting one and Bobby again found himself having to drive back through the pack to come away with a solid 3rd, and fastest on track. Overall scoring him P3 for the weekend!

First go around at the golden guitar and what a go around it was!! Bobby was keen to get in and figure out the track so Saturday was spent training with George to get it right!
Sunday came around and although it was freezing the racing was hot and the battles for the top spot were awesome.

As a triple bonus both big guys on the top step on the same weekend, and the little guy came in with a silver!!!!!!

Last weekend we made the trek to Manning it’s a hike but it is so worth it, great spot and great track at Manning!!! And who doesn’t love a team road trip! for the final round of the tri series! Manning Valley Kart Club
The rain didn’t look like it was going to quit and practice was a wet one, but hey a little practice in the wet never hurt anyone, only their pride!! After slogging it out in the wet all Saturday, race day on Sunday was a beautiful one, the sun was out and the slicks were on, much to the drivers and the pitt crews appreciation!!
Qualified 3rd
Race 1 - 3rd
Race 2 - 3rd
Race 3 - DNF (It would appear that rear wheels don’t stay on when wheel studs snap and wheels are definitely required to race 🤷🏼‍♀️)
Final - P 1 !!!!!!!!!!!!
This meant not only a win for the round but also made him P1 over all for the championship scoring him not only a sweet trophy but a wallet of cold hard cash!!
So very proud of you kid!!! Your patient, your persistent, your passionate, your resilient and you can drive.
